I remember one time when I was working as a waitress in my early 20s, I had accidentally dropped a plate full of water glasses on the floor. One ignorant person in the restaurant stood up and clapped, and I was so humiliated that I just hung my head and started to clean the mess up quietly with everyone staring at me. Right away, an older gentleman stood up and told that person to stop clapping and being foolish. It’s been over 10 years since that happened and I still remember it because it was so significant in forming my perspective on men. I’m so thankful that God created men to protect us, and it’s so beautiful to see how it comes out even in the smallest ways.

I a from the restaurant industry and we would all do that to each other. It was literally apart of the culture of the restaurant (olive garden). We did help each other out though. I will celebrate and help a server till this day! (Most men wont allow the help) It's basically away of showing its no big deal 🤷🏾‍♀️

I remember when I was dating my husband he looked me dead in the face and said “wow you are a whole lot of woman!” And a few months later he proposed 💍. I’m thankfully for a mother and father who showed their children gender roles in a marriage. My mother was a stay at home mother and my father worked as a police officer. I know that’s a privilege but it was one that blessed our family. All three of my brothers are married and are amazing providers for their families. Gods way is the only way!

It’s funny that you posted this today because I just had a conversation about how gender is under attack in this country. I agree with all you said. Unfortunately, however, many women -dare I say most of them - exhibit more masculinity than femininity, and vice versa for the men. I think women have for so long competed with men, that they have forgone what it means to be a woman. And to top that off, there are people who wanted to do away totally with gender identity. There is a new generation of people ascribing to the idea that gender doesn’t even exist, and therefore femininity and masculinity are social constructs. Men look and act like women; women look and act like men. Lord help us all!

i am so happy i found your channel. i am 30 years old, i have two babies under 2 years old. my husband and I have been married 4 years. i recently left my job after having the 2nd baby to be a full time stay at home mother, wife and homemaker. The amount of pressure i get daily to return to work is absurd. family members friends etc. everyone wants to know when i am going back to work and why i’m not going back to “work”. It is so counter cultural today for a woman to stay home especially couples around our age. Years ago I watched a documentary about a hippie colony in CA in the 60's-70's and it highlighted how the men and women wanted to all treat each other as equals. So when a bunch of men started to build shelters, a bunch of the women took on masculine qualities and worked all day with the men and the other women stayed behind and cooked and cared for the children all day. When it was dinnertime, the men and women working with them would go to the common space and eat and then the men opted to spend the night with the women who had been cooking and caretaking all day. The more the builder women spent time trying to be equals they realized the less the men desired them. 😁Cause even the hippies realized God's design was not to make us equal, we are created to each play a specific role. ❤️🙏🏻Love your channel, you are such a blessing to listen to!

I'm so thankful for you! As a christian woman striving and working on being feminine. I get upset that I had no role models growing up with very delicate women. It was always masculine with feminine characteristics and nice clothes and heels, be strong, you don't need a man. I've almost fought guys in high school growing up. Smh, so I found that I ended up having narcissistic tendencies in every aspect of my life once I got married. My husband told me one day that I'm not a delicate woman. Now at 26 I'm currently trying to undo the masculine things in my life. Y'all pray for me. I'm so upset 😭 i take full accountability for my actions but it's still upsetting while healing and trying to find femininity and it's even more upsetting that it's not spoken more amongst the church and that we don't have many mothers in the church to help the young sisters. You have youth on your side... while I loved my heels, if you were wearing them, you best be able to run in them. I grew up in a tough area and fighting was normal. While I loved nice clothes, my mouth had it's own opinions. I had to be the man at home, fixing things that were broken. My late husband created this... now I realize why house work is so menial to me. I met a wonderful man that had one word come out of his mouth that started my revolution.... Honor. My husband and I both grew up in poverty. So at his request I work full-time. However, 12 years later we're still in love and I still desire to grow as a wife. I often ask him "Am I doing a good job as a wife and has a mother? Is there anything I can do better?" Lately, I no longer have to ask, he'll come tell me how good I am doing. Oh Bindi, I want to cry from the sweetness that you've helped me believe could be mine. I am starting over at 49 after 25 years of marriage riddled with emotional abuse, his addiction to drugs and alcohol, and untreated bipolar illness. I allowed myself to take on all the masculine roles. To stop being feminine in all areas of my life. I didn't believe I deserved the help, aid, and protection of men. That was for ladies, and I was never going to be one because I wasn't special enough. The physical labor, the financial worries, being responsible to make his life as easy as possible, all of it has really worn me down. I'm old, fat, frumpy, just learning to shower regularly again, think my own thoughts again, try foods that I want again, and because of this video, maybe start to be soft again. But even the idea is scary, because I feel so uppity to think I have a right for someone to carry something for me. That's always been MY place, to lift the burdens of others.

Everyone takes notice of her aggressive and outgoing nature. I am going to school to become a psychologist and I was concerned this was a biological temperament, One that I honestly have struggled to find a solution for. It is very difficult for me to be quiet and tender and peace... but its everything I want to be, everything I admire. Ladies! If you act, look, and behave like a feminine woman, your man will be OBSESSED with you, along with other men who instead have a masculine manly woman but desire femininity. You don't have to be over the top, but simple things just like wearing a dress, smiling, or putting a flower in your hair. Every time I do this, I always have men staring at me, fighting each other to hold the door open for me, while they ignore the tom boy. When a friend once told me I needed to be more "dainty", I was initially offended, but thankfully, I shelved the thought until I could receive it... God eventually showed me what dainty looked like by observing my then 6yrs old daughter. 🤭 As females, we were born with a delicate, gentle nature & unfortunately, culture, life's hardships, and even our mothers have trained us to become hard and callous. I'm sitting here crying. I have always been very muscular and stronger than some men. That's just how God made me. I have always been used in the place of a man for my strength and cockyness. Now my body is paying the price. I'm in pain everyday. I have muscles but the more delicate joints of a woman. I regret for being hard and masculine. Wow, I have to believe God has given you the gift to communicate these things. I’ve never heard a biblical standpoint on femininity that was spoken so profoundly and positively. I think we as Christian’s don’t deep dive into this enough, it seems like it always stays at the surface level. When you said a gentle spirit is the result of being confident in who you are in Christ, WOW! I’ve noticed that when I am at my most loud, aggressive and masculine is when I’m filled with anxiety and insecurity . Thanks for sharing this.

I do think there is a bigger issue than women not being feminine enough specifically in the black community. Naturally, most women are feminine when we feel secure and safe. It is not something we learn but are born with. For example, as a baby my daughter was quiet, gentle, observing, and friendly vs my baby nephews were more demanding with tempers lol to this day they are so outgoing, energetic, loving, and rough lol (note they are raised with both parents). Not sure, but from my experience men of other races have been quicker to assist in protecting or helping me. For example, I remember I was pregnant working at mcdonalds I dropped some ketchup and the white men ran to my aid to pick it up. While black men sat idle. Nothing about my femininity had changed. I didn't even have to ask they just knew to act. Not sure if black men naturally lack this instinct because they lack masculinity due to the fact that they were raised by single mothers? In my experience if a woman is feminine or not will not ensure a man's protection or masculine traits towards you. For this reason, I believe it is just as important to teach our daughters self defense lessons, signs of danger and so on. This is important because the majority of black men lack the courage and or know how to be a masculine. Many of them have spoken out and said they will only protect the women they have relationships and bonds with. Again, be feminine but also be aware of the times we live in better safe than sorry.

I'm not of African ancestry, but I have noticed this. Euro-American men tend to come from a different culture. They're more likely to have a mother and father. Conservative or traditionalist white men are the most likely to help out, even more so. Also, I've realized that I can wear a skirt and still aim a gun. Some women behave more masculine women practicing self-defense, but that doesn't make them any better at getting the shot. While long hair is a risk with self-defense, you can wrap it around the predator's neck to choke them out. We don't have to go full on GI Jane. Many of us had female ancestors that rode out in a dress to protect their family, especially the children. Aggressive personalities don't guarantee success. Our nurturing can make a difference in some scenarios. It's just something that shouldn't be forgotten.

I wonder if this is generational and maybe even regional related. I find the opposite. I have found most Anglo-Caucasian men act like I don't exist and will run me over on the side walk, push in front of me at a counter or dismiss me. I have found most Brown men are attentive. But I will say this, in general I worry about all young men of all ethnicities. I am wondering what are we teaching them. What I see is disturbing.

This is very true. there a various reasons why this happens. It isn't always because a women does it deliberately or even recognizes that she is doing it. I lost my mom at a very young age. My dad raised me who did not seem to get how sensitive little girls are...I grew up and became what I thought was self reliant. However i soon realized it was God who had been carrying me, protecting me, providing for me all along. I am thankful to be a Daughter of our heavenly father, his love has humbled me as he has softened any rough edges that tried to develope. He put a stop to it. I am grateful.

I have had only 3 examples: wife who works who was masculine, wife who stayed at home with an emotional abusive partner who's feminine behavior drew to her masculine behavior, and the single woman who doesn't need a man nor wants to submit to one! I have been seeking God lately to help me be the woman He created me to be. He gave me some answers, but I needed examples and some mentorship concerning that which he showed me. I was led to you. The community that is forming from this channel is of God's doing. there was a time my husband had a business lunch and my son and I didn’t go to the business lunch but we figured we will go with him, walk around and then we’ll do something as a family after the lunch. While doing that, a homeless person started chasing after my son and I as my husband was already at the lunch. My only instinct was to get away and protect my son. My son at the time three, kept saying “mommy I’m scared, let's go to daddy!” but we were a ways off. What really warmed me afterwards was the response of males. there was this one guy who literally said get behind me and he faced off the with the homeless person and then other males surrounded the homeless person to ward him off. another thing that happened, the woman who was dinning with the tall male blocked us, did what a woman are supposed to do, console her “sister” and protect the young with me while the men went and physically to protect my safety. Your story reminded me of this. As for my husband, the commotion was so big he caught wind that a woman and child were in distress and came looking but we were already in the car because 3 men took us to the car and LITERALLY surrounded the car until my son was harnessed and I pull out to drive away.

It is important for your son that you put yourself first and be an example of what a feminine woman is. Luckily, it involves just a change in mindset, and not more time or money. Feminise yourself. Firstly, prioritise and pay attention to how you get ready for the day. Feminise it. You shower? Choose a feminine floral scented shower gel or soap. Wash your hair? Ditto. Go to the loo? Have a nice smelling hand wash and hand cream on the sink to use after. This will all make you smell pretty at no extra time and cost. Dry your hair? Let it grow to at least shoulder length. Rough dry for speed then at the end smooth it out Add a slick of lipstick a dab of scent, takes 2 seconds. None of this is taking up extra time on what you would normally do. By your sofa or armchair you sit in, keep a small basket of the following grooming items and use them when your baby / child is napping, playing. A brush to freshen up your hair, a moisturising face cream, nail file and clippers so you can do your nails, a clear varnish and polish remover. Maybe a pretty feminine colour that you put on when baby has gone to bed for the night. A body spray or a free perfume sample from a dept. store to freshen up how you smell throughout the day. Your husband will notice when he comes home. Time to get dressed. With a baby, think loose, flowing, feminine and comfortable. A flowing skirt and t-shirt, a flowing dress, flowing trousers and blouse. Choose soft feminine colours - creams, pinks, lavender, soft yellow, mint green. Feminine prints - florals. If money is tight, and you wear jeans, try to at least get a soft pink or salmon pink t-shirt to wear with jeans or a pretty floral top. Have flowers in your home every month. Grow them in your garden. For an upfront cost of about $10, and 30 minutes of work, you can have flowers every month for the rest of your life. ,Buy daffodil bulbs for spring, for summer have peonies, for autumn buy a packet of dahlia corns/seeds. All easy to grow and provide an abundance of flowers every year. I could go on, but I hope that helps as a start.

I think it's a bit unfair to bring up femininity during a physical assault. The "men" didn't react because they are not "men". He grabbed her and she defended herself, so why make the comparison of her being manly? There are plenty of examples of women being publicly assaulted not fighting back and nobody comes to her aid. I have seen women physically assaulted, defending themselves and other men intervene to help her. Self defense classes and other defense measures would not be necessary if men always jumped in to help. Some "men" will help and some don't and the way she conducts herself while being assaulted should have no bearing on that. Let's not compare a woman defending herself against an attacker to her being masculine, and her being "saved" if she only acted feminine. That does a disservice to all victims and survivors.

You need the ability to protect yourself when you're attacked in an EMPTY parking lot. But she's trying to say a feminine woman can get men to come to her aid,when it's not an isolated situation, without even having to vocalize,just by feminine/delicate demeanor . You don't need to put your tae kwan do into action when there are many pp/men around you. Chivalry is only dead to a woman who doesn't understand there's no real crime in being a damsel in distress and needing a man's assistance. Girl boss nature needs to be muted sometimes.

There should be no expectation of a victim to act feminine for "chance" of someone stepping in to help. Why isn't the criticism held for the men who did nothing to help? Real masculinity doesn't need permission to act in times of crisis and that "girl boss" nonsense isn't a factor when someone is being harmed. If criticism is due in this circumstance then there also needs to be contempt held for the men staying in their feminine looking like damsels in distress and not doing anything. Masculinity never needs permission to surface it is only not accounted for when men don't have it just like in that case of that girl being assaulted.

There was just an incident of a woman being attacked in gas station repeatedly being punched and she didn't fight back but again..... no help. When a kidnapper tries to take a child, a child may fight back but that doesn't mean that everyone should just stand by and watch because the child acts like they have everything under control. Granted she's a grown woman but the fact remains is that someone was abusing their power and strength over somebody who is weaker and committing a crime. Should Christian women who are abused, have acted more feminine and maybe they wouldn't have been abused? Should someone who's walking home have acted more feminine to be saved so that way they wouldn't be beat up robbed and raped? Let's not act like all of this happens in an empty parking lot or all alone at night because nowadays even the most heinous crimes are done in the light. How about stopping an attacker just because it's the right thing to do? How about not judging someone's disposition while they are in distress? How about we help women who are being grabbed and hit regardless if they are fighting back or not because we know any man using his physical prowess to overpower a woman is wrong? Anyways I can see that this is something I just can't agree with either of you on. @@amanispring6637 I think you don't fully understand me, but I understand you. I didn't mean because a woman is feminine she should just sit still gently and be abused,never! There is a difference between protecting yourself/fighting back and " acting all manly and tough with little results ". Ur examples are literally ones of women being attacked by a person with real intent to hurt or even damage them, and of course she's not to just cross her legs and sip tea. Abuse is real,I know that well. But I believe Bindi Marc's example was if a man messing with a woman (if he had real intent to hurt her, he'd just attack her when no one is around, mostly) and her defense was weak/ineffective. And I understand how any one,not just men, with eyes to see that someone is in distress should just jump in and help. But it's not always that easy!!!(especially if the victim is not a child but an adult). There have been instances, people have taken the initiative to help someone without being asked and the victim just keeps returning to the abuser. Do you know even the Lord prefers we VOICE OUT our requests, rather than we expect Him to merely see our suffering and take action in all His power. People have been sued before by people who they thought needed help. So,yes we shouldn't hold back helping as humans,but in the position of victim we need to reach out, scream,ask for help or send out subtle requests through gestures to those around us rather than try and fail,or expect them to do something because they see the situation. Once bitten, twice shy they say. If you've ever helped someone and had it backfire in your face before I doubt you'd be running with all your heart to help a victim who hasn't sent you any pleading glances because she's expecting you to see and do something. I understand you. But I guess my point is just this: simply ask. Call for help. People respond instinctively to panic situations and the attacker himself will be panic stricken and hopefully run. This has gotten from femininity to escaping abuse fast. But thank you for sharing your views. Of course in cases of children it's best to just step in cause they may not know they are even in danger, but adults are always complicated. When I came home from hospital after having my 2nd child via C-Section, my husband made me help him lift our queen bed mattress because it needed rotating. I told him I can’t lift anything but he insisted and some stitches popped and I was in agony but he did not understand anything as he was raised seeing his father mistreat his mother. My husband has improved in 21 years now praise God.

I love this! Because this has always been what I feel most connected to and have always strived to maintain in my life, but it seemed like I was just a weird one. I don't usually comment but thought this was important. I do not follow any channels like this. I have been stuggling lately and quietly speaking to god (which is unusual for me) for direction. Your channel so happened to appear on my feed and on a topic i stuggle immensely with. I was raised to do everything myself, be independent, be strong and never rely on a male figure. I have a partner of many years and children together, but i just want to say that this is really the missing link. I have ALWAYS said i feel more of a male then a female. Not because i don't have any femininity as i know now that is what my partner is attracted to in me. I now understand what that push and pull tug of war within is. I am so sorrowful because I was raised to do everything myself. My mother did everything and I grew up in environments both at home and at school where I needed to be either the aggressor or at least react aggressively. The sorrow runs deep because through your wisdom I am realizing how much I have groomed my husband to not think of me in a feminine light. He acknowledges that I am a female but for so long if something needed to be done I would do it (lift heavy furniture, do back breaking labor, etc). I have wasted many years disrespecting my Lord and father as well as myself, that I don't even know how to start changing.

Hi, I just recently discovered your channel & I don’t believe it was just by ‘chance’ I am in the 8th month of my 2nd marriage, I was not a believer in my 1st marriage, I became a believer after my divorce, I spent years raising my kids on my own and when my baby girl left home, I soon began dating the man I’m now married to (a godly man) after we had been friends getting to know each other for 2 years. I have been on a healing journey and on a journey to grow as a godly woman and a godly wife, learning what God’s will is for me and learning to obey God and respect and honor my husband, but it hasn’t been easy! One of my biggest weaknesses is being overly emotional & have been working with God on changing this for a quiet and gentle spirit. It is not my intention to argue against acting as the weaker vessel, instead I want to put forth for discussion my thoughts about the narrow path between the two such that a woman might do as much as her strength would allow in order to be helpful to her husband and not to put too much additional labor on him; yet, always defer to him when he offers. I ate it up and was actually taken aback by what I learned… great book, and I appreciate your take on this topic! …I grew up in sports and with a strong strong dad I was around constantly… not much femininity training growing up. Now I’m in pro sports! Many masculine women….but yes- we’ve been trained to be pros..by men…mostly. I love being a feminine athlete. Ways that I have tried to diminish my feminity is many times, when I am around pple I would find myself lifting the heavy stuff, even when men are around and as you said Bindi, they refrained from helping me, and left it to myself since 'I had things figured out'.... I like it when pple praise me saying how strong I am... But after watching this I realise how wrong I was,.... Ways that I have embraced my feminity esp after encountering this and similar videos the past week is that I am more cautious about how I look and I am been the one to serve and clean around esp in social gatherings, it has always brought joy and fulfillment...
