I think we ended up with the best choice for a Tin-Top...for now. We have a 92 Convertible Sidekick coming up next after this one...will probably do a "Urban Camo" on that one. The real point is that anyone can do this at home with basic tools and a little direction. Thank You for your comment...

Its was completly rusted. I am using the transmission for a 2.3 swap on the Jimny and another guy here in NC using the rear axle and motor to make his tracker new again :)

The final look is pretty stylish, I also quite liked the Rzr type graphics. Brilliant project

Thank you for your comment..."it's a work in progress." Still have some touch-up and there are a run or two in the paint that I must address.

Again I've been away for a while working on the two rigs. The first red Sidekick a '96 is finished with the clutch replacement. Im having a friend mechanic put the clutch in my '95. But with the Jeep Liberty recently (just a bit earlier I installed to new upper control arms from JBA. I replaced the inner and outer tie rod ends only to find out that the rack and pinion bushings that are bad were allowing the rack to lift up and that's what was causing the problem. I replaced the two u-joints on the rear driveshaft the old-fashioned way LOL. And I had to install a new president CB. We're going to start catching up on all your videos, they're so much fun and motivational to us to work on our rigs and be the sole ones that tightens every last bolt etc. That of course makes each off-road adventure better because you were turning wrenches also. I did have a question, I was wondering if you are going to go out on a Fourth of July run? We may have to head down south near bumblebee or the Senator highway or something like that to meet up with a group of off road rigs n folks. Sedonas fun but we've been there so many times. We think we have the Liberty completely ready which includes all of my wife's camping/cooking gear for this summer. Everyone hopes the monsoons are on their way or they will close the forest eventually, but then sometimes they'll reopen it after the rains start. We wish you a great 4th of July and will be commenting on the videos. I was backtracking and did not see the one about your Desert Tortoise, but we're going to look tonight.

Hey Chief, how have you weathered the winter... Yes it is an outdoor, DIY Rattle can Paint job using a 2 stage technique of base coat /clear coat Most of ours's are rattle can because we scratch and ding them up all of the time. But more importantly, some guys do not have air compressors or Paint guns... or live somewhere that You can paint a complete car in your driveway. So as an alternative, if they take their time, than can get some pretty good results as a DIY project and paint one piece or section at a time, kzbin.infofAso9T3ZBY4 Thank you for your comment.

Our Color was Burnt Copper for our kits that we used to make. I had a bunch left from our earlier days so I used it on the 89 Tin-Top to show people how to get a good finish from low cost rattle cans. amzn.to/4ah8Sc0
