Nice job on the video. I had Trouble Codes: PO412 Air system Switching Valve Circuit. I followed your procedure, replaced the "purge valve." I replaced it with an OEM purge valve from the Toyota dealership. Cleared the code with my OBD2 scan tool, and started the motor up. No check engine light!

forgot to mention that the code might not throw until you get on the freeway. after you dissconnect the battery it resets the computer. it would throw the evao code again if you start it for 2 seconds and shut it off. the vehicle has to get up to temp and higher rpms to do a proper test to see if you actually fixed the problem.

I have these 2 codes. I have ordered the part yet. I see it says left when I am on auto zone? There is no left or right of the purge valve is there? It looks like the part you removed! Thanks in advance

None of the test have run yet. And evap codes are usually the last.

I have those codes on a 2011 Corolla and I'm being told it needs to have the ECM re-flashed...

Did this work after you drove it for ~50 miles?

Yes but it still pops up from time to time. Here’s what I think…this is part of the recirculation system. These trucks have a problem consuming oil when they get high mileage. I think those oil vapors are going back through the system and gunking up that valve after a couple thousand miles. My still isn’t staying on ( the light) but I’m thinking about pulling it off and giving it a good cleaning next time it acts up
