Love your videos Mark. I'm gonna be down there for my yearly pilgrimage to Alvin to visit my brother for 2 weeks of Galveston fishing. Can't wait.

Great video. It’s nice to go to the basic of fishing once and a while. This was how I learned to fish growing up.

When using finger mullet to catch flounder i slow drag the bait and once I feel the thump I let him have it for roughly 5 to 8 seconds depending on the size of the mullet. Then slowly pick back up on the tip to make sure he’s still there and then set the hook. Waiting a little bit aft the thump to set the hook will increase your hookups. A lot of times the will just hold the mullet in their mouth and will let go as soon as you get em close lol I hate it when that happens. Great videos you always post great content

Have my rods marked with a circle around the cork of the handle, 15 in from the butt. Comes in handy for trout and flounder.

Next time your at Academy you should get a ROD RUL-R or two. It's a stick on ruler for your rod. Great for wading.

Love that area even just north of there as well towards the lagoon..... the crowding can be hard to handle though... have never fished anywhere that someone will literally stand 15 yards from you then throw across your line.... notice as he's catching fish the closer everyone gets LOL

Howdy Mark, hey brother you should maybe wrap a little piece of duct tape around your pole to use as a means of measuring your catch. The tape will stay on forever even after getting soaked....tight lines
