S677A Retrofit BMW E60 with Logic7 Harman Becker audio system

This is story how i instal logic7 audio system to my BMW E60. I code ecu by myself and add a lot wires, 3 roll of fabric tape and a lot of hand work. But in the end i was very happy for two reason :) First one is that i made it till the end and second one is i have logic7 in my beloved car.

What kind of electrical tape did you use? And did any wire harness plug thingies broke?

here i use Certoplast 525, it has green letters on it, its close to factory Certoplast 514 orange letters, which u can buy using number BMW 61136902588. Also i have Tesa tape, but i like Certoplast more. I have no problem with broken plugs or socket

Hi, for soft close how did you make the connection to rear door. As i see on scheme it needs to be a T connection there?

Planning to do this as well, but still having cold feet :D Appreciate the intro about proper factory amp power wiring, but are you sure it is not the first connector? And for the second connector, what is connected to that pin4 currently? Because I Imagine that you probably need to put the correct amperage fuse for that pin and maybe someone modded something with the 20 or 30 AMP fuse... Also, those connectors might work differently depending on which terminal is turned on, but not sure... I haven't finished watching your video, maybe answer coming :)

Just start doing something and hands will stop shaking ) Talking about power, first i made mistake cuz i choose pre lci car in TIS, but then i open lci scheme and it also dont fit to my car. You a right that i need to check if i connect to proper fuse. Also i use "free" TIS, so maybe it have errors. My friend has Top-Hifi from factory and his car on car lifter now, so i just checked. So here what i get, that his amplifier connected to X11010 socket, pin #4, fuse #73 for 30A. But his car is 2007 pre lci. I will check later what fuse i use, but im sure its less then 30a fuse and its works

@@5500ua "глаза боятся, руки делают" (my written russian super bad) :D super, I have e61 LCI aswell, maybe it has something in PIN4 aswell... I will check my TIS, maybe it was less than 30, but I remember thinking it was a lot when I last looked :D

@@edgars2113 i think its real error in this free tis, because fuse map for friend car and mine is same for multimedia components and it has only one 30a fuse. So i will switch wire to X11010 connector

what did you do with the wires with the vare plugs coming from the ask in the bass? did you cancel and they stayed there with plugs and everything? did you remove the pins from the ask sockets?

No all wires are on old place, i didnt remove them

@@5500ua but you have a plug from the subwoofer witch come from ask, but after retrofit the subs it s controled by the amp, what did you do with de old plug that was already on the car? did you isolate it with the other cables?

@@iulianbarzu3384 my friend make keyless retrofit, but i dont want. This job is almost same as soft close/ logic7, u need to remove all salon and torpedo, open every door panel. My next option will be dark roof lining and also looking for comfort seats

Hey! Which ECUs did you have to code in the end for this? CAS and CIC?

every ecu connected with multimedia, depend what do you have in car (mask, ccc, cic, ulf)

@@5500ua Wouldn't all multimedia be in optical loop? I don't have cd drive, I just have CIC, combox and now Logic (09' e61). Problem is I can't find what exactly needs to be coded (with all the other additional modules...) Maybe I just have to look throguh with ncs dummy, I don't know.

@@5500ua welp, I coded the cic, success on second try and it started playing. hurray! Now I don't know if I should proceed and potentially fix some issue that I haven't noticed yet OR break coding and add new issues :D

add MOST wire from mask to amplifire and back to mask
