Hello, fellow Saaber!!!! Love your videos, just upgraded my 9-3 Linear (not finished with my upgrades, about to throw in Aero cams with a new chain). Yes, it's a big difference!!!!!!!! Goodridge® - G-Stop Stainless Steel lines are attached to the brakes.

I just extracted all 4 Aero calipers, brackets, dust plates front and rear at junkyard for $91USD, amd getting quotes of $155USD for new front and rear slotted rotors and pads. I hope it's a substantial upgrade from the 302mm fronts and single layer rears I've been driving with all these years.

I have an Aero and a 2.0t. The Aero has a much larger master cylinder than the 2.0t in order to accommodate the larger calipers. I do not advise using larger rotors and calipers if you are not going to upgrade the master cylinder.

I have a 9-3 Aero and my opinion is that if you need better brakes then these, it is because of multiple hard brakings needing better cooling or if you have very sticky tires. Normal fresh 225/45 18 tires gives up before the brakes give up, unless they are overheated like mentioned before. Have tried black diamond groved discs and they demand more maintenance, the groves needs to be cleared of rust at least once a year, are more noisy and the brake pads wanted to tip over and wear uneven.

well.... it is NOT the discs or the calipers that determines the brake distance... but rather the wheel friction and the balance between rear and front brakes.... but if you are happy :-)

Linear and vector have 285mm in the front and 278mm in the rear with unventilated dics in the rear. There was an option to have 302mm in front and 285mm rear with both being ventilated.

Jeg holder på og planlegger et kitcar-bygge med 9-3 2,8t v6. Bilen jeg planlegger å bygge er med bakmontert motor.... Planen er å ta alt av motor, girkasse med subframe og hele forstilling ut av en 9-3 2.8t og bygge inn i prosjekt-bilen. Dermed vil 9-3'ans frambremser bli prosjektbilens bakbremser. For da å få riktig dimensjonering av bremser fremme i bilen i forhold til bak, må jeg ha større calipers fremme i bilen enn de originale front-caliperne fra 9-3 2.8t som da blir bilens bakbremser.. Har du kunskap om hvor store calipere man kan ha på bilen med 9'3'ans originale master/slave/kraftforstærker/ABS før man også må oppgradere master/slave-sylinderne? Jeg er redd kanskje master/slave ikke greier å yte nok væske-volum til store calipere...?

Du kan ju montera TurboX bromsarna som har 345mm skiva med värre belägg och stålomspunna slangar. Eller ta ng9-5 Turbo6 bromsar som 2kolvsok, behöver modda lite för att passa

If you press the piston back in the caliper before you put on that red clamp it will glide in easy. ^^

Do you know how much it would cost to get a throttle fixed on my Saab 9-3? And is it OK to take it to a regular automotive shop? They say they work on foreign cars but I don’t think they have the actual specific tools.

Its individual so The best is to ask them for a price. And "fix The throttle" could be alot of things, a little more detailed would help to give a price.

Jonas Kakarikas I was driving one day and it started hesitating while pressing the gas. It was hard to accelerate. It was scary. I thought it was going to shut off. So I put in my FIXD device and these two messages came up. Control module PO606 and throttle actuator control po638. Just trying to get some ideas before I take it to an automotive place. I know they’re going to come up with some ridiculous price!

Most likely your ecu is toasted, very common problem. On The 9-3. You need to take it to a workshop that has gm/saab tools. A new ecu and update software will solve your issue. Google Saab and your codes then you Will find plenty to read about it

Yes, but you Will need new brakelines and an adapter for The calipercarrier.

You could also get viggen brakes, it should be the same caliber just moved longer out and a bigger disk. Should be cheaper because you reuse the caliber you already have and put them on a caliber carrier adapter.

Yes det går, tror infästningen skiljer lite okhållaren och skivorna har ju 5x120 ist för 5x110 i bultmönster. Men troligtvis lite dyrare i inköp 👍

Hi, i need help!!! my saab 93 2004 starts making a sound, i seems like its coming from the brake pedal but outside, i mean on the bottom of the car, mmmm idk if its the exhaust pipe or can be other thing, does anyone has similar problem? oooh i forgot to mention it happens only when i pass over a speed bump.

probably something is loose. One possibility is heat shield over the exhaust pipe. At my 9-5 it was just resting on the pipe when it was making rattling noises while driving over speed bumps. probably worth checking and cheap fix. I ended up just putting bigger washers to the mounting points.
