Incredible fix...one small complaint..that first “oh crap” came early and was a bit lonely.. The green layer is called solder mask... It is a resin that covers the entire board, except the soldering points... ence called solder mask... Just Google it, there is plenty of information out there... Thank you for watching!

EDC16 give the opportunity to make an full copy of ECU. It must be used. On new ECU (EDC17) full copy is not more possible.

It is possible to make a full read, then to write the data, you do it by writing the OTP data into a different area... There is a bit more to it, this is just a broadly explanation... My ECU went bad I got a used one and all the letters and numbers match except for the last two which is DA and DN they're both ME 7.5 and software 0004 would they work together or do they have to be exactly the same

@@LMAutoRepairs No the fuel pump works with the new the imjectors fire bit dont crank cause it hasnt been programmed yet im qorking on that but doing research on how to do it trying to figure out how exu code to change it iny launch tool its asking for ecu code to put in new code and i dont wanna brick it so im being patient do i need to have original ecu in first to get its code and and delete it out first then put in new and ot enter its code or do i just put in new thats reading a 04 passat mines a 03 and reprogram read and write with vcds lite or mpps i have both i just dont know which would be best

I believe should work similar to the Vauxhall... original code from the replacement ecu to reset it, then with the car pin code through the immobiliser program it again... Or, as I have done here... just clone it... 👍👍👍

Looks like a stone or something. It literally smashed through the metal and board. Unless the board is damaged in different area
