Huh, I thought the TurboX had more to removal for the stock DP, looks fairly straight forward

Who did/how did you make/wire the exhaust dump? Did you use an O2 spacer to avoid the code?

@@mod.ts76 o2 sensor magic 🪄 spacer, and exhaust dump was a cheap Amazon exhaust cutout with electric switch I think it went into the sig lighter. The wire rusted off real quick tho…

Max Holt thank you and yeah it does but the cat is right off the turbo and is still annoying to take off had to do a couple heads on 4cyls

were the stud holes already tapped in the downpipe?

Yea the dp has threaded holes for the studs for the mid pipe to bolt to

How do you go about changing the plugs on these? As i wanna do my coils and plugs but its a pain? I was thinking of trying to use am inlet plenum from an older vauxhall v6 na of some sort to relocate the throttle

Sorry didn’t see this till now.. I don’t have an vauxhalls around me nor have I heard about someone doing that. Changing coils and plugs on 9-3 v6 are a pain but doable without taking intake off. The v6 ng 9-5 all coils and plugs come out with intake on except one hits intake..🤦🏻‍♂️

Why does it smoke after? Burning dripped coolant off?

Oils and fluids that may have dropped also the wrap says it may smoke for the first time or two times running it

@@Retiqquick question, did you reuse the L bracket the goes to from the downpipe to the oil pan? Or is it okay to skip re-using it? It seems plenty supported without it

@@SergeantZaf03 I believe I re used the bracket. I mean it came like that so I put it back I can’t say if it’ll be okay for long period of time without it. So I just re used it. I’d worry it’d just caused to much flex or stress on parts of the exhaust since it’s not supported. But also since it doesn’t have a cat it weighs less than factory catted pipw

@@Retiq good point. I’ve been running without it for a month or so with stock DP and GS MP and it’s fine. Going to try to reuse it when I reattempt the DP in the coming weeks.

A Coul the downpipe has a o2 sensor before and after the first car so removing the downpipe leaves engine light on and Canot be inspected unless u tune it and remove light or use a defoulor but where I live there is no emissions test

I did get a tune from a friend from like Jzw I believe. But a with a real tune it’ll be better than leaving it on factory tune

Did you delete the cat and resonator and mufflers? I did the 3 inch downpipe deleted the cat and resonator and straight piped mine and mine sounds more like a super car but yours sounds alot like an sti.

Technically yes. But a newer car like this corrects and adjust to the change but to gain full potential a tune deff a good idea.

Jin Metsuo oh I took a long time it was my first time doing it and I was filming it while I did it so it took a long time I’d say book time may be 4-5hrs first time 4-7 depends if u have a lift and tools and some bolts may be easier or harder and loose time on..

No I put catless 3 inch mid pipe the car came with hirsch cat back then in this video I put the 3inch Down pipe

Aldo Rodriguez the exhaust heat wrap smokes the first few times u drive it idky but even on the package it says it will smoke

I have the signum with the same engine. Just take it to your local garage and get it done..? Its not exactly an easy job to do...and if you mess the timing up when reinstalling its your own fault.

Only mods ive got on mine is a turbo blanket inplace of that heatshield, a cone filter and atmospheric collins twin piston bov.

Awe nice and yes it is going in to a guy that has a vxr himself and has done his own timing chain and he is a vauxhall specialist so should be all good my timing chain was done just before I got it but think they only done the chain and not the tensioners witch is a nightmare but I will get it fixed as love it

@@dragonshadow3707 my engines on 82k miles so im not sure if i need to worry about them anytime soon, i put a block off plate on the turbo and ran a t piece off the brake boost line for the bov vacuum source. Sounds maad. Only thing is, i have abit of a boost issue. Sometimes the turbo is all there and gives you a good shove and other times feels na with no turbo spool. It was doing this with the recirc and airbox on. Was close to getting a vxr but found the signum for 2 grand. Factory fresh. Immaculate inside and out. Maybe its the coils and plugs?

Hey it could be the coilovers or your plugs I lost power in mine and I changed the coilovers and spark plugs and it was perfectly fine after and yes the insignia is a lovely car 4 wheel drive to witch is nice but I like the look of the vectra vxr looks nicer lol in my opinion but I know what you mean about the sound they do sound lovely nice v 6 engine I must admit though the v8 sound sooooo much better lol 😂
