the lyrics talk about a fictional youth going to war (30 years war) and his thoughts, among the lyrics are numerous hard hitting lines, like. I give my life for my country, but who will miss me, see me as a husband or friend, brother or son, that never comes home. having stood at attention in uniform at memoria, this hits close. I think this is close to what goes through the mind of most persons through the times going out to fight, be they Spartan, French, British, Ukrainian... Not only death, lossing friends/limbs/eyesight, getting nightmares, PTSD... there are many ways war destroys lives.

Very good pronunciation, the language is Swedish and "krig" is very much like the German one. It's usually the "I" that trips people up, especially if their first language is English.
