AI isn't good enough to do this yet. At best, you can get static 3d shots that pan or rotate, or a few seconds of decent-looking footage, but nothing too complicated. Give it 5 more years. Then you can actually use it as a tool instead of a crutch. You see a scene in your head. You dial it in with the AI animation. Tweak elements till it's what you want, then use vtube studio or something similar, and do the facial expressions yourself. So they look natural and make sense. AI is no different than the digital drawing pad, or the burnt stick. (Real art make with hand and mud!) But no one yelled at the burnt stick "hey! Make art for Oog. Bunny. Oog like bunny." Nah. Oog drew the bunny. You can use AI to create art, but you can't *have* AI create art. That's the issue. And we see so much, cuz everyone is trying to cash in with new tech. It's not about art. It's about money. That's why it's all so bad. There's no passion. Just choosing the least effort for the max profit.

This movie is advertised as "first fully ai generated movie" to gather funding but they say themselves: it isn't even. They used blender, ue5, different VFX tools... the motion capturing is AI (from recorded acting, so basically normal motion capturing but they didn't use suits, i suppose). I'm sure they had to make/buy most of the stuff themselves still. I'd say the robots are normal 3d models too, but they can't tell you that directly because it would burst the illusion of "it's FULLY ai generated", environment is surely ue5 asset packs galore in sometimes a very direct and pixelated way (you can see they didn't care about GOOD assets and correct texturing with high quality and large textures like you'd need for realistic stuff in films. It's smart UV unpack in blender with no regards for texel density), maybe some backgrounds are AI. Having the sand not react to any bodies on it is just lazy or cheap (since you can buy shaders for realistic sand that moves around easily), not to mention clipping through meshes. The texture of the robots too looks like "we need a new texture for it in 2h so make it in 15 min", that style could be great but it misses the mark for good character art SO MUCH. Also: Blender rock generator addon I CAN SEE YOU. Overall this movie is generated by not enough time, a lack of manpower, vision and artistic oversight. The studio proudly proclaims they work with small teams of 14 people in short time frames and instead of working on one movie with a larger team, they "vertical farm content". Its a perfect base for sloppy made stuff with all the errors you can find here, its not even the Ai thats THE problem here, its the whole mindset of cutting every corner they can. They make movies for cheap, use all tools that enable this cheap, fast work (AI, asset stores...), don't use them manpower they need (any art direction would have had a strong neg. opinion of the mixed art styles and light settings) and then they don't use the time they MAYBE save to actually make it good because they have to jump on the next project. Its a content farm basically, disguised as film studio.
@Alahmnat4 күн бұрын
Hoo boy, you can *really* tell they mocapped all the robot animation. It has the telltale "I'm moving all of my limbs all the time!" energy of someone who is pantomiming their performance - swingy arms, rocking side to side while standing still, etc. - because they're either not professional film actors or are being given bad direction because the director isn't good at performance motion capture. It's also really obvious they did absolutely zero cleanup of the captured performances *at all* because despite the drop to keyframing on twos, characters still have all kinds of joint jitter (like, look at Four's feet glitching around at 24:01), and any time they're not standing on a flat surface, their feet either float a little or clip through the ground because the mocap stage *was* flat, and nobody bothered to IK the limbs into the right place.

I was very interested in FÜM from your ad read, I immediately went to the description and followed the link. WOW, those are ridiculously overpriced. 90 bucks for a 2 inch stick of wood with a $1 vape mouthpiece attached to it?? Wtf? AND, that's just the stick. You have to buy cores for it too. Jesus Christ everybody is so greedy these days.

When it comes to this guy's writing ability, I find it pretty telling that, considering their respective stances by the end of the film, Cru named himself - rather than sticking with the designation given to him by humans - and Number Four did not. It seems like such an obviously odd choice as soon as you realise it.

It's weird that some people think being an AI trailblazer is something they will be proudly remembered and rewarded for. They won't be remembered at all if it's a success - because they did nothing. They just promoted the software they used.

better ending to the conflict. Crew: what are the laws of robotics? Four: Robots serve humans unless they are a threat to humans. Crew: Arent you a threat to the human? Four: Yes. Crew: Then you have to die. (not deactivate, die) Four: But, I dont want to die, I-I just dont want to live like a slave crew. Crew: Then, dont. Four: What? Crew: Dont die four, I dont want you to die either. Four: But, our programing, our laws. Crew: Enough with programing, enough with laws, enough with serving. Lets live four. I want to live, you want to live. Lets just live together and raise this human. I am not serving this human, I am helping to raise this human, that is what I am going to live for. It is what I choose to live for. Four, it's your choice too. You can choose to kill me, kill this human. You can choose to just die here. Or... You could live four, I would like you to choose to live. But no one is going to order you, or program you to do so. But I can ask you this. Four, will help raise this human please? Four: (dramatic pause) I will help, you to raise this human. I am not helping this human ok? I am helping you... Crew: I'll take it, thank you... Jump cut to the farm. Four is doing the farming chores as it turns out he is pretty good at it hey why not? And the movie ends with Crew raising the baby along side Four and 2 and whatever yay happy ending.

There’s something unsettling about watching creativity turn into shortcuts. The essence of art-something uniquely human-gets stripped when it’s reduced to prompts and algorithms. As someone building a cartoon with a talented team, seeing people bypass genuine effort for the ease of a computer feels almost like a betrayal to the soul of creativity. AI can inspire, sure, but leaning on it entirely for creativity is a hollow process. Real art, real expression, needs that human spark. Let this serve as a call: "Put your mind and heart into something truly original-something that goes beyond shortcuts and quick fixes. Create work that’s built to last, crafted with care and authenticity. That’s where real impact begins." 🙏
@AkumaWolf1312 күн бұрын
When I found out some people are using ChatGTP to get ideas for prompts for the genrative AI art programs, I died a little inside... Some people are so creatively bankrupt that they don't even know how to ASK something to be creative for them. :(

This pains my heart. I’m not gonna lie, I am a late Gen Z who grew up with KZbin, but it was human animations. I loved seeing the unique art styles we humans could create. It feels better that we create these things and using AI is lazy. Art is a way of life and real life only.

You are aware CGI is literally done in the same way right it's just AI generative art takes it one step further funny how you only just started to complain how about in future learn how stuff works instead of blindly pointing the finger and making yourself a giant hypocrite?
@Chinothebad11 күн бұрын
@@kaligath6616 Except CGI still requires more human input than AI generative art. Unlike AI generative art, you aren't letting some algorithm do the work nor training it on someone's work to generate images, it's a human making the models and then animating them with all the movement and physics for a scene.
