I like seeing you enjoy the cooked food at the end. That makes me go and prepare my own. I also like you prepare them quickly not worrying too much about the mess or cleaning. Doing videos comes so naturally to you.

I used to make sabudana pakodi and tikki. Today I tried it this way( with raw potato and rice floor). .. And it was DELICIOUS! Thanks for the receipe!

@bornforbeer I am sure there is moisture in your mix. Whenever there is moisture things will break when you put in oil. Try putting a kitchen paper towel or clean cloth towel on the potatoes after squeezing them before adding other ingradients.

@bornforbeer : whenever we fry anything that contavins boiled potato, the temp of the oil should be very hot. try and keeping the temp nice and hot and then fry the wadas.. may be it helps :)

hey sanjay...... hope u understand that sabudanna vada is authentic fasting recipe and onions and rice flour doesnt go in the list of allowed items to eat. The best authentic Maharastrian recipe for Sabudanna Vada is soaked tapioca, cut green chilies, boiled potatoes, jeera, salt and coarse peanut powder- all smashed together and made into small flat balls and fried. For Chutney- coarse peanut powder + green chilies+ jeera with salt in curd. Trust me, nothing can be better than this.

I had tried it twice, it came out perfect. However,this time i don't know why the sabodans became so hard after it was deep fried. I had soaked in the usual way only, and it looked perfect, but this time the sabodanas came out pretty hard. Can you please tell me why?

you say that raw potato is better because it absorbs less oil...but i heard if you use cooked potato, you can simply shallow fry it like an alloo tikki...
