Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest batsman to have played the game. He is a legend of the game. He is often referred to as "The God of cricket". The no. of records he set stands testimony to his sheer brilliance. His team members considered themselves lucky to have shared the same dressing room as him. He is known not only for his commitment to the game but also his humble nature and down to earth personality. Youngsters look up to him as their inspiration. People wouldn't take their eyesight off TV when he is used to come to bat. He has also been conferred India's highest civilian award "Bharat Ratna".

Sachin is a God of cricket. To play the game for such a long time and every time carry the burden of entire team on your shoulder is nothing but sheer mental and physical strength. He played this game for the longest as he started at 16 years of age and oh man he delivered every freaking time. People used to close the TV set once he got out. Opposition had one and only one agenda every time against India and that is to get the Sachin out as soon as possible or witness another loss. 100 centuries is no joke. The number of records he holds is just unbelievable. Some of records probably will never be broken because it takes someone who can play as long as he did and with such talent and mental strength

When SIR Don Bradman was asked who is reminiscent to him the most when he was alive he said he likes Sachin as he reminds him of himself. Don bradman was another giant in cricket history although very old player with no camera back in the days to telecast matches but his records were huge. Anyone since them who came close to him was Sachin. Also he played in what is called the era of great bowlers, Sachin faced all of those great bowlers from a young age of 15 to an old age and his form was very consistent. This movie will also help you to understand how the culture of the sport Cricket in india grew, he played with three generations as mentioned. He has records in all formats. Special records that nobody seems to achieve or can try to achieve in scoring 100 centuries in total in all formats. The next best to him who might achieve his record is an indian as well named Virat kohli, which you would've heard in The test prime series you're watching, he's basically the only player who has the potential to break his record and he's very different to him. The mutual respect between such amazing players, be it dhoni, kohli, sachin, sehwag, Dravid, etc. And the contributions they have made, you might get a little glimpse of some of those legends in the movie.

Sachin was playing at a time when India was not doing so good. I have seen in many instances where if Sachin got out early, whole team would get out in a jiffy as if they never stood a chance. And if Sachin played well and scored a century, all of a sudden all the players would gain confidence and bat nicely and bowl properly. Shane warne, shoaib aktar, wasim Akram all say if u get Sachin out, half the battle is won. I have seen people switch off the TV as soon as Sachin got out coz he was the only hope and rest of the team would always disappointm us. I will stop here coz I can write about Sachin Tendulkar for 100 pages 😁 last thing, he has made us feel a winner when India was not winning at any thing including all fields of life.
@67samudragupta4 жыл бұрын
Well he is probably considered the greatest batsman of all time barring of course Don Bradman, who had an average of 99.9. That is like scoring a century every match. Sachin was good at One days and Test matches. He has scored 100 centuries in both forms combined. 49 in one days and 51 in test matches. For perspective the next best was 71. A brief history of Indian cricket. India used to win matches here and there and there were few great players like Gavaskar and Kapil Dev. Then they won the world cup for the first time in 1983 (The first team other than the West Indies to win a that time) against all odds and cricket took off in India. Then came Sachin and people went bonkers over him. Later the team was shepherded by Ganguly who gave India the "we will fight back" attitude. And then Dhoni took India to greater heights. Of course behind all this were the financial / business masterminds, sometimes crooks who made India the most powerful cricket board in the world.

1:07 Since it's a Cricket specific channel I immediately subscribed 👍 coz I only watch & subscribe to Cricket videos & channels from this account. I was actually going to suggest you start a Cricket specific channel. Hopefully you'll post videos discussing various Cricket matches too (when Cricket does starts, in England it seems their T20 tournament known as T20 Blast may take place so do watch that despite the tournament's silly name) along with your takes on the happenings in it. 5:12 Even though that trailer was in hindi language the _"Saachiiiin… Sachin…"_ chant gave me goosebumps. I grew up watching him play but when I started watching Cricket he was already halfway through his long successful career & was being called Master Blaster, God Of Cricket, etc. I became a Cricket fan & Sachin fan simultaneously, so since he retired I just didn't see Batting the same as I realised it was his Batting more than anyone else's that I enjoyed the most whereas watching Bowling was always exciting & him facing all the great Bowlers of the time (like McGrath, Warne, Akram, etc) made watching him score runs all that exciting as I'd always fear he'd get Out.

His skill was mind-boggling. Played against the greatest bowling line ups and finished with a record that may never be matched again. If he'd started now, he'd eat these poor bowling line ups for breakfast and Bradman's average of 99.94 would be serious danger.

Sachin is the god of cricket. Let me share one little known incident involving him, which makes him legendary. There was one left handed spin bowler from Australia called Brad Hogg. In an ODI match against India, he got the wicket of Tendulkar. Brad was so happy and excited, he took the match ball and asked Sachin to sign it for him after the match. Sachin wrote on the ball, "You bowled really well today, but this will never happen again." After that match, Brad and Sachin came face to face about 11-12 times, but Brad could never get Sachin out again. Brad mentioned this incident in an interview.
