Sacramento businesses buying land to block homeless camps

Businesses along Lathrop Way in Sacramento have been calling on the city to clear homeless campers for years, and now one local business owner is taking matters into their own hands. The City of Sacramento said that since August, it has responded to 208 "311 calls" on Lathrop Way and removed 946 cubic yards of trash.

Not All of the Homeless that are in that Sad Situation, aren't so because of some fault of their Own ! / Even YouTbe has some Thumbnails that show men who were once Very Rich, hard working, And honest, that Saw things happen outside of their realm, that they Had No Control over / Nor saw it coming, and saw the Dissolving of their means. And Ended up with Nothing or Next to it !

some years back, woodland announced it would be building a "homeless" shelter to house up to 300 "homeless", within 4 month's the pop of "homeless" tripled in that city. and they had not even broken ground on the center. and would not for another six months (much longer?) at least, as a environmental report, engineers needed to do up the plans for the buildings. and they still needed to sell the bonds. or find "other" money sources to build it.

Hi Larry. I'm actually from Woodland and the homeless problem has gotten much better after 4th&Hope built their homeless center on country rd 102 and Beamer street. You're correct about not having enough money to build the tiny home community they want but they still have over 100 beds out there and it keeps all of those people away from downtown, which is a huge win. I'm a local landlord with very little sympathy for the homeless population who are generally very entitled and aggressive. 4th & Hope is a non-profit that has done a tremendous job of sheltering those that are willing to follow rules such as following curfew and committing to getting sober. We still see homeless people walking around but the large encampment around the old courthouse and public library are a thing of the past.

Turn abandoned commercial building into housing for the homeless. House several in 1 spot & have health care offered at that site also. Yes there are those homeless people that will not go. Also bring back mental health hospitals for the mentally ill.

This is comical. Everyone complains about the homeless but the minute there might be a solution it's always not in my backyard. If that's truly how you feel don't complain about the homeless people. I've seen abandoned animals treated better & more humane.

How about having normal rent price and not rope people a 2 bed rooms apartment where I live should pay $1000 a month the maximum not freaking $2000
