I'm saying it's giving me pause as a New Yorker. What am I supposed to think objectively? Will it solve problems if I think of this comment as real? I live in a mixed community, I would say that it is roughly 30% Hispanic, 30% White, 20% Black, 20% everyone else in various amounts. It is pretty safe, reasonably quiet, clean, most people work, it is probably what you'd call middle-class to upper middle class by NYC standards. Do we all do better with some ideal mix, or do we do better apart from each other? For my buck, I grew up in a neighborhood and city that was about 85% white at the time and I like my current neighborhood better. I am open to all polite suggestions.
