She literally looks like a painting, a beautiful work of art inside and out and still talks about her insecurities and struggles. I’m always amazed by her way of being so calm, humble and relatable even though her voice and visuals appear like a goddess up in space. This is an absolutely Beautiful and relieving interview!

As a Reiki Practitioner, I’ve seen first hand what energy can latch on to you from sex with certain type of men. I don’t , however, believe in soul ties. I do believe certain types of lovers can take your energy and use your sacral power for themselves.
@ladyofspa
@ladyofspa Жыл бұрын
Agree agree agree, I don't like that soul tie expression. You got the power to take your whole self back. Folk give themselves away allow others to nurse off them then say it's a soul tie. No one can give or take your essence. source energy is yours no one has power over you.

Tanerelle is a freaking goddess. This practice came to me organically, it’s life changing. I was able to tap into a part of self worth I wasn’t anticipating. I was able to put up healthy boundaries while laying in my feminine because I no longer have the need to protect against someone disregarding my boundaries ❤

Yes! I got into tantra sex earlier this year and I was in awe! I’ve never been so present with my or someone else’s body and the pleasure I got from it was incomparable. I agree with Shan’s frustration around how unclear the definitions are. When I first heard about it a couple of years ago and asked about it, I’d get the fluffiest answers and always left thinking “I still don’t understand what it is!” After practicing it for a bit, I’d describe it as mindful sex: slow down (A LOT) and bring your attention to the touch and breathe. Be it your touch and breathe, or your partner’s. Or both. I learned to start by synchronizing my breathe with my partner’s while napping or cuddling. Then it got easier to do the same during inter course. Pleasure mapping is fun too. As I slowly caress my partner, I pay close attention to his and my breathe, moans or changes. Love this topic and I’d like to hear more about it. I have a few books but I always have to read them with my “fluffy detector” on. I got the impression that Shan had to do the same in these interviews.

I LOVE HER MUSIC this is great can't wait to listen. As a spiritualist myself, I find that abrahamic religions can still have a stronghold within the minds of other spiritualists. Learning the theories and evidence surrounding how history has been altered is a big part of being well rounded in one's spiritual journey. Soul ties are real, but removing them is just a form of aftercare.

This episode was one of my favourites. I resonated with a lot of previous traumas/how you were raised or even both making you feel obligated to do things or say yes to things that if you really had the time to think about why you’re doing them you probably wouldn’t. i’m slowly but surely moving into a place of loving myself for myself and others around me to present the best version of myself always. I’m consenting to things not because of obligations but cause I truly want to. Everything was so refreshing to hear and i’ve learnt a lot and have a lot more things to try as a result. Thank you for sharing 💕✨!

This whole conversation is exactly what I needed to hear but the "Yes" part I really resonated with because that it so truthful. An "mmhm" or "sure" or "ok" might be packaged nicely as a "yes" but in our bodies does it feel like an absolute yes, or a compromise to what we actually want to say? I personally do not think so. Thank you for this exploration!

First time commenter, long time listener/viewer. Shan, keep on glowing & flowing through these transitional moments. I am always greatful for you keeping it real. Showing up as you are, and sharing with us in your joy & vulnerability. After watching this video I have a better vision for my personal development goal this year. I am choosing do to focus on rebuilding my Sacred Feminine Energy. As someone who experienced some heavy things at a young age, this video could not have been released at a better time in my year. I am so excited to explore a sacred connection with my inner feminine Goddess, in order to share my fullness with the people I love in my life. I heard you for the first time years ago on Jeannie Mai’s podcast & I was hooked. It was one of the first times I heard someone talk about love, sex & relationships is a real honest conversational way. While I haven’t listened to your podcasts (yet), I’m so excited you have added a visual component through KZbin for my Neurodivergent brain! Thank you, Tanerélle & to you Shan for sharing this beautiful conversation. Demonstrating to woman & young girls, it is safe to have uncomfortable conversations with people who respect & hold space for you. Shannon, Continue to be bold and push boundaries of societal standards, there are people who want to hear the tough shit. Others may not be ready to discuss or confront with in themselves. But if no one talks about it our realities can not change.

I really relate so much with sacred sexuality. For me, it was motivated by wanting to raise my vibration from lack to abundance. Also I dated a lot of narcissistic men and I was really empty and depleted. I needed a sex experience that was nourishing. I practiced celibacy for over 2 years, and I am really holding out to have tantric sex and it feels like having sex fir the first time. This path led me to do OnlyFans. There's no shame in sex for me anymore.

Saying what we really want as woman is freeing our souls. Healing past traumas around sexual experiences we didn't want. Becoming one w one's self. Self first partner 2nd is a great spiritual lesson. I love how Shan is also envigorated by this conversation. I'm sure she enjoys interviewing honest and genuine and practical people who are self awareness. I love when Shan is with Jared where the emotional compatibility and vulnerability is apparent. She doesn't work hard to educate or to give validation. In the other interviews, especially the one with Abby, she had to do a lot of emotional labour and a sort of mothering and giving too much validation to her Abby. Which can be draining. Here she is just open to talking. Talking as in communicating. I love Shan in this interview.

That’s why we have to be careful when it comes to sex because it is spiritual. That’s why sometimes we hold on to wrong people because of the sex. We’re tied in. Soul ties are real. Sex isn’t just mechanical, biological. It’s a spiritual special bond. That’s why in many religions, it is often talked about as something reserved for marriage because it’s a sacred bond, a sacred space. A lot of people mistake what soul ties actually are and feel like they need to have sex a certain way or ways to be liberated. True liberation comes from knowledge. And that’s knowledge of the Divine and you. What’s down above has affect on earth and vice versa. I think people need to tie sex, sexuality with spiritual health. I’m a huge believer in metaphysics. It’s all affects everything.

Shan, I appreciate your honesty of referring to your sex life as robotic. I’ve felt similarly at times. I was listening to your episode about how sex changed for you after having your second child. I empathize with that. I just had my second baby in July. I’ve decided to refer to this new life phase as my “sex kitten era.” I purchased new clothes, have been doing my makeup. I’ve been unapologetically branding myself. Basically imma force my way into being a sex hot mama and baddie. ❤

I loved every second of this video, it filled me up like the meal I did not know that I needed. I remember after my first sexual experience as a young girl, that there had to be more to the whole sexual "act" and I remember being a freshmen in high school and sneaking off to buy a tantric/sacred sexual guidebook. I can't recall the name but I know the orange book cover (which of course symbolized the sacral chakra) and two snakes intertwined together too. I'm saying this all to say that this episode was pure gold. I knew a long time ago what sex looked like for me and what it did not look like, based upon my first time engaging. I for sure had my share of traumatic moments that I'm still healing through, yet to know my likes/dislike, to have found my voice and to reconnect with my body have been a blessing. There's a lot of work that I believe is needed to develop this practice. Having a devoted spiritual practice and strong relationship, with the Most High does help with connecting to yourself outside of yourself, to even see and feel various things. Tanerelle was a freaking pleasure, and you of course Shannon. Thank you ladies

Welcome to the good side Shan, I'm looking forward to finally seeing you in this field in a way that really resonates with me. I love who you are, the work you do, and how you express that, AND I'd love to see spirituality in perspective when it comes to sex. As a deeply spiritual person, and a certified therapist, I feel there's much wisdom that the "woo woo" can show us if we're willing to look past all the weird shit happening in the spiritual world. I lived in Bali and many spiritual communities, even though so much shit is too much out there, underneath it the essence is powerful and truthful. We have to search for it though. Any way love you Shan and can't wait to see more of this in your channels

Sometimes when you do what u think u need leads to boundage it is undeniable that when we Interact with others there is a large exchange on energy...stating that is not to limit freedom but to increase it just because being cautious about it also lead u to be careful of the unhealthy emotional bounds which keep u in bondage. It is not about the number of partners but more about the quality of their energy.

Shan I love you, I own two copies of your book and have been a fan for a while now. That being said I want to just give a little feedback of some patterns I've noticed that may help with this podcast and your journey as and interviewer. I feel that you can benefit from paying more attention to your guests body language. Youre a great listener but in this episode specifically you can see that Tanerelles is very closed off and almost to a point where it looks like she's uncomfortable at times. Its your responsibility as an interviewer to read the room and make the person youre intervening feel comfortable in order to have smooth conversation. Also you ask yes or no questions a majority of the time, making it difficult for your guest to share their story. Asking more questions starting with Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How might be helpful. Just one more thing I swear and this is out of love. Making time to state your opinion is important, but you tend to repeat statements that was just said back to your guests, while almost editing and overanalyzing what they had said as a response. Im not sure if this is a tactic in filling in time for the episode, but I think it can possibly rub some people the wrong way. If someone has said something that doesnt make sense to you I would simply reword your question while saying you didn't fully understand. Over narrating just aint it girl. Keep up the good work tho! Proud of you
