I think you need to write a book on your view of Norse paganism, your views, even just transcripts of your videos. I love listening to you and you make so much sense. You are amazing! You fill me with so much truth and make me want to learn even more. Blessings to you.

I find Norse Paganism so fascinating! Thank you so much for these videos❤ As a side note, the high school I work at is called Valhalla & we have so much Norse mythology wrapped tightly throughout the school. Our freshmen go through a ceremony where they leave Asgard & ascend the Rainbow Bridge to meet Odin & Touch Thor's hammer; as seniors they leave Valhalla they way the first entered. Our yearbook is the Ragnork... For that particular school Norse mythology is not just thrown around as tied in to some mascot, but something much more awesome. Anywho, I just thought that'd be interesting to share with you✨

I just started accepting paganism as my path. Norse gods ( part of genetic ancestry too) popped in recently when I woke up. Odin , Thor, Freya, Frigg, Loki, Balder. Odin is very patient and Thor is the big bro I never had. Odin is teaching me things every day and I am learning things about the runes I never knew. Thanks for great video. Watching Loki one next.. since he has been wanting to chat.

I love Odin!! XDD Been looking at Asatru stuff super excited because I have been searching for awhile where I fit in the world of magick essentially. Gonna even a order norse magic book. Been getting back into magic and had a dramatic change in my belief paradigm and I have always loved nordic culture. Come to find out that there is a genetic connection I had NO CLUE about until this year. Definitely been a year of change! Thanks for the video.

Dear Elle, you're just wonderful. I've been (silently) watching your tarot videos before and loving them (big TdM fan here!). Now I'm almost done with your Norse Paganism videos and I must say, you blew my mind! I've always loved mythologies, I started with Greek when I was 8-9 years old. When I was around 13, I met Sigurd/Siegfried in a mythology book my dad bought me and it was love at first sight. His story has been my favorite ever since. I found "Nibelungenlied" in my highschool library and when I was at the university, I finally managed to lay my hands on "Poetic Edda" (only from the university library, it hasn't been republished in my country for over 30 years now!). I've been checking for used copies of the Edda for years and - just now, when I started watching your videos - I managed to buy one! So yaaay! Anyway, I'm not a Norse pagan, I actually don't know what I am at the moment (used to be a Roman Catholic for most of my life), but I find your thoughts fascinating. Your way of reasoning made me realise WHY things had to happen like they happened in the story of Sigurd, Samson, Llew Llaw, Hercules and many others. Before I could tell they happened very similarily, read tons of books about it, but the "why" was never clear or convincing enough. Thank you, Elle! I'll continue watching! Best, Magdalena

So what is Odin during the day without Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory)? Isn't he living in the present moment, unable to dwell in the past, or dream about the future. On some levels this is a state of enlightenment, where everything just "is" at that exact moment in time.

Yay, Odin love! After fifteen years of intense devotion, I had a rocky period with him last year--less with *he himself*, actually, than with the popular concept of him among a certain type of polytheist; this brought on a spiritual shift in perspective, which was for the purpose of opening up and widening my experience of him. I had been pigeonholing him as well as myself, which we all know is something he will not tolerate for long. :) Your take on the myths is fascinating, very different from mine in some respects but more universal in many ways; I will have to ponder a good bit of this, and suspect your insights will end up enriching my practice. For many reasons,, I no longer consider myself heathen or a Norse pagan, although the Norse cosmology is like home to me and Odin (as well as a few others in the pantheon) will always be central to my path. Having been a member of it, I also have to disagree with the concept of the Troth as a universal organization or as free from bigotry. (I say this as someone who had passed her clergy training and elected not to take my oaths and become a gythia because I felt the organization's leadership was too closely aligned with folkishness. I have a valknut tattoo over my heart chakra on my back but would not openly wear valknut jewelry in today's political climate here in the US.)

I always loved the idea of the ravens going back at the end of the day being like going to sleep - when we sleep, our brain rearranges, moving short-term memory to long-term memory. Conscious moves to sub-conscious! Love the Odin love! xoxoxox

I've always interpreted Odin fearing the loss of thought as more of a loss of free will for example becoming a prisoner or a slave, something where you have no control over what happens to you, after watching this video I've realised maybe that's what I fear above all else and that's why I interpreted that particular part of Odin in that way

Super quick question. Would you be willing to do a video on tattoos and religious symbols? Just about your views on using sacred symbols as a visual representation of spiritual belief and ones that you find you like. I believe you mentioned in the past one on your arm us and as a tattooed person I'd love to know what you think.

I have needed this so thanks for your time, 3 yrs ago I ended up in a coma from a hit & run when I came out of it I had a very strong bond with Odin I've always been pagan but this has become a high point, I started speaking German not fluently but I'm compelled to do this now ( I was born in the U.K and only learned French at school) I'm told I spoke of being in a battle though I don't remember this, i have limited sight in one eye now also. All of these things plus some other memories which are most definitely not from this life time are now almost a daily occurrence So i wonder is this part of my challenge?

All father was probably an interpretation in Snorri Sturluson’s prose Edda he might not be the all father but that doesn’t mean he is the father of all humans. He probably might actually be the all order according to some scholars. He might have been called the allfather of humans though but Snorri Sturluson’s Prose Edda portray him that way from a Christian preceptive however I am not saying you shouldn’t rely on the prose Edda just remember Snorri is tell Norse myths from his perspective.

My belief is that the gods are both the nature/spirit themselves and still unique individuals. I can't believe in the gods as merely archetypes. I think because they're in higher dimensions they have the same building blocks we do here, but much more complicated, as someone said in a book, from a three dimensions to a cube. Or something like that. I've been working with the gods for years and still can't wrap my head around some things. It's like the Endless from Sandman. They ARE those aspects they represent, yet seperate individuals. I hope I'm saying this right. I also wonder what't the point of reincarnation if you're supposed to evolve to higher states with each one, learning from your past mistakes, if you can't remember it.

@sacredseed1295
@sacredseed1295 8 жыл бұрын
ctuagent247 actually I didn't talk about it, but in all likliness it comes from the root word, odr- meaning something like inspiration, spirit, or ecstacy- so I like to think of his name as alluding to altered states of consciousness! or even just being a way to say exactly what he is, consciousness itself. :)

Jesus ended sacrifices St Patrick converted the Druids.I like the way you see Odin.I see Jesus as the same as the key of Odin to pass the Rainbow Bridge of the Asgard .Pauls letters to the Galatians were later rejected by the Jews because they wanted to hold onto the laws of Abraham but in reality Jesus was the Alpha and Omega.

How can you say that Odin is the god when yourself call him a myth. The true God has never been called a myth. He actually was on earth by having his own son Jesus sacrifice himself for the sins of man.
