Steven Universe actually pulled my heart strings. Everytime I see Steven thinking of his mom, and how much he wants to know her, it breaks my heart, especially this scene. This is probably the most painful thing a child can experience. He was forced to grow up because of his mom, not because she didn't love him, but because she did. She made her choices understanding the consequences of her actions and tried to have the least amount of people suffering with her, but also not seeing how her disappearance has caused a lot of pain, heartbreak, vengeance and so many things. But she loved Steven so much, she wanted to give him the chance to live, at the expense of her existence being no more. Steven is so much like her, and he is so much more! He is Rose quartz, Greg, and Steven, with hints of the other gems. He is growing up so much, and over the years, we watched him grow, laugh, cry, suffer, win, lose and face his fears. I know this is just a show, but it's a show that holds messages so deep, that at 17, I love to watch, and really appreciate what is being presented. Steven isn't a cartoon, he is a boy, growing up, just like us and showing us how to survive, even though things get hard.

Tbh yeah The Steven Rose scene is so melodramatic and just generally uncomfortable. The scene in the Kindergarten has so much more raw emotion and regret. Sorry to say it but Zach Callison just isn't that good at conveying emotions. Like it's really obvious sometimes that they just chose him because his voice fit for the first season.

BACKSTORY FOR BOJACK AND SARAH LYNN STORY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND: Sarah Lynn was the most popular music artist in 2010 (?) and she turned 30 and nobody cared about her and Bojack was on a very popular tv show called Horsin Around. Bojack was the horse dad and Sarah Lynn was Sabrina, the youngest of the 3 children adopted by the horse. Anyway, Sarah Lynn, in her 30s, went down a rabbit hole of drugs, alcohol and sex. She decides to come clean later and for 9 months she stayed sober (mostly cause she heard if you stay sober then get really high it feels amazing). Meanwhile Bojack got nominated for an Oscar after "starring" (he got replaced by a computer version of himself) in the hit movie Secretariat. Turns out the nomination was fake and so he calls up Sarah Lynn asking if she wants to go on a massive bender. Then they go on a 2 month bender and she says at some point in the full episode that "She always wanted to be a architect" and well, when they got to the planetarium and she passed away its because she did 2 months worth of unauthorized, hardcore, drugs. *Moral of the story: DoNT dO dRUgS* please like it took ages for me to write this

Something even darker is the fact that it's hinted at during the series that Sarah Lynn was molested by her step-dad. There's tons of off hand comments she makes about thing that relate to him, such as knowing what bear fur tastes like and even her different tone whenever she speaks about him. It just adds to how dark and sad her life was in the show, making her death even more tragic.

Steven Universe's moment was really emotional, but that show has shattered my emotions way too many times, so that's just one of them. Bojack's completely DESTROYED ME. And I wouldn't say the Gumball one is really SAD, but it is extremely moving and got a tear out of me anyway :') Haven't seen the other shows, but the Regular Show finale seems way too sad.

Rick and Morty hit me the hardest. It's crazy to think that someone as brilliant as Rick Sanchez was milliseconds away from killing himself, if not for his passout. When I was younger i wanted to be a brilliant man, like Einstien or Rick. This is because I assumed being this smart would be an amazing life. I'd be able to contribute to the world of Physics (which I deeply enjoy), and I wouldn't have to try at all in school. This episode opened my eyes to the reality of brilliant minds; with intellect comes torment. I still want to be a genius, because my current mind still thinks it's a positive tradeoff. Despite what I so badly desire, I know I'd regret it all if I got it. We do take things for granted, don't we?

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

If you think about it Gumball was literally one of the last best shows to end.
