Fits in naturally and can stay in any of the phase as long as he wants. Now it depends on us that we respect equally to our teacher and our toilet cleaner. Which Dharma clearly says respect each and every thing. This is why worship for all not only to teachers. So if you respect your teacher and toilet cleaner equally you are a great Dharmik person. To show respect we must touch feet not the head. Now where you see fault in this varna system. This caste system is so ancient and so well in place that it's hard to shake off even in the modern world. Other systems have already long crumbled: the slavery of USA was abolished, the peasants of Russia revolted during the Russian Revolution, the farmers of France hung the nobels during the French Revolution, Price Harry married Meghan Markle. :) It's now India's turn to break free!! it should be made only on the basis of financial background, so that 1) Rich people of certain caste who's families have benefitted from it and don't need it anymore, will not avail it ,so that people who are poor and actually need it can make use of it. 2) Many people especially from OBC background are actually quite well off, and do not require it. 3) So that there will come to an end to legalized casteism and caste exploiting organizations and politics. 4) So that ultimately for marriages people will stop looking for caste and will go for their social class instead. 5) So that there will be unity among Hindus of India like Indonesian Hindus 6) And the present system reinforces caste and hence it is necessary to remove it. But for the society we are ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य and शूद्र according to our profession to the society. In Another term division of profession. Which exists all over the world in different forms. And this is most scientific division of profession to avoid conflict in society. This Varna can be achieved by your Karma. To fit into Ashram one has nothing to do. Fits in naturally and can stay in any of the phase as long as he wants. Now it depends on us that we respect equally to our teacher and our toilet cleaner. Which Dharma clearly says respect each and every thing. This is why worship for all not only to teachers. So if you respect your teacher and toilet cleaner equally you are a great Dharmik person. To show respect we must touch feet not the head. Now where you see fault in this varna system. Lots of Rishi like Valmiki, Vedvyas, Ravidas, Parashar etc were not born in cast Brahman but respected worshipped. I am brahmin , and that girl , I didn't know what was her caste because I was so childish to not to care about it .... She was 1 year elder than me ..... She asked me will your parents accept our relationship.... I confidently said of course they will ..... But as I grew up I started to realize that how confidently I said , it's not that easy ..... It's now been 6 years of our relationship and she has my word and I love her soo much that I can fight for her ..... Britisher Herbert Risley created more than 2000 castes in India including untouchables. They created narrative that it existed from past. In Vedic culture valmiki was worshiped even though he born to a hunter, Eklayva's father was the chief commander in Magadh army, sut-putr Karna was taught by the greatest acharya Parshuram, Vyaadh-Geeta is respected all over etc etc... our ancient literature says that "a brahmin's son may or may not be a brahmin".. it depends whether he will get brahm gyaan or not. Nalanda Takshashila never conducted admissions on the bases of student's castes.. also in ancient bharat there was the norm of social distancing based on the eating habbits, which still exists.. everything else was wrong narrative created..

When I was searching for religion to subscribe in, I got interested in Hinduism, but lost all my interest when I learned about the caste system. I think, one of the worst social and economic approach in human civilisation is the caste system of Hinduism. India needs to ensure that everyone will follow a one universal caste where everyone is EQUAL IN VALUE AND RIGHT! This is the only, talents and opportunities will be maximise.

@Shrinivasan Kannan as of today 90%of people who get sc /st/bc reservation wer 1st generation degree holders. We have 100% reservation for Brahmin from 1742-1919 and 16% reservation 1919-1947 in Madras presidency based on anglo-hindu law. And aslo intermediate and lower caste were restricted to get education and govt job. Sometime British authorities use recommendation to educate few lower/Intermediate caste against law/brahmins. Now reservation for sc/st is around 18% for 70 years. And bc 27% reservation for 30 years. Still there is 70%-55% open quota were other caste get food, not as you claim they were hungry. Brahmin had 100% reservation for 175 years. This is reason why brahmin accumulated wealth and prosperity. Not because of hardwork.This was story before independence. What would happen if we restrict education and jobs for Brahmins after independence like what they did to other caste in past ? FYI Brahmin is only caste across the globle lived with freebies for past 2000 years. Hardly they don't work. They use to lie,cheat and exploit others in the name of religion. So fuck off..

The caste system in India is a prototype of how the world view race. From white to yellow then brown to black. This is basically the world system. It very unfortunate that some Indians still subconscously subscribe to the caste system, especially Indians in the Western World. I do not mean to offend anybody, I found some Indians in the Western World excessively obedient tothe white race. His answer just reflected his ignorance of the reality of India. The point is every Hindu here belongs to a certain caste. Doesn't matter if you marry someone without asking about their caste which turns out to be different in reality, but eventually, it will be called an "Inter-caste marriage". I am not Hindu but I see many different opinions on this. Many Hindus reject the caste system but Hindu ancient texts do define Caste system. Mahabharata text has elaborate descriptions of Caste systems (which is essentially sub categorization or organization under varna system).

I just searched "Sadhguru caste" to know what Sadhguru has to say about caste system in Hinduism because tomorrow I am going to tell my parents that I am deeply in love with a girl who belongs to a so called "lower caste" but I from a so called "upper caste". I could relate to Sadhguru so much because I never asked my girlfriend what caste she belonged to, even though she always knew what caste I belonged to. She always had a fear within weather I would marry her because of the social stigma which exists in our society and even I didn't know during the initial stages of our relationship that I could speak to my parents regarding this but(a very big but) that's what true love does to you, you get a feeling within you that you can fight the whole world when you are truly in love and that's what I am going to do tomorrow, fight the whole freaking world and most importantly my own parents who matter me the most.
