Kerri Farrell I have a bird coming and took a lot to convince my mom. Start of with if you already had a pet like your dog or anything you. Tell them how you took care of them. If it’s your first pet make deals with them! I made a deal if I don’t take care and clean you get to take anything away. You can also bring up if you ever had pet sit a pet. Maybe that will help ya❤️

I have school and I play a sports but I really want a bird. I would be willing to get up in the morning to play with them and all of that. Do you think a bird would be happy in my home? Also do cockatiels like another cockatiel with them so they can be friends?

Birds need at least 4 to 5 hours outside there cage and to play with u. Cockatiels can like other cockatiels but if you want a bird that bonds with u I would only get 1 xx😊 and they could get territorial maby .

I go to school as well and I had two cockatiels because I knew I wouldn't be able to give one the amount of attention one cockatiel needs which is why I got him a mate

Quick tip! If your bird enjoys rope perches but chews on them i recommend a natural rope perch instead, ones made out of hemp or cotton would be good! 😊

I think metal bowls are stainless steel not a-loo-min-ee-um. The nickel in stainless steel has antimicrobial effects. Aluminum lacks any health benefit.

I have a cockatiel and a rainbow lorikeet that share a cage and they're best friends till the end. I have then in a huge aviary outside but I do take them inside quite often.

I just got my cockatiel today! Shes nervous bc of the new environment but she does let me feed her food from my hands :) she doesnt bite yet either, just bumps me with her beak. When she does that I say no and stop giving her treats (pieces of broccoli and unflavored chicken). Any tips for bonding with her??

Heyy, could I ask this birb community for a little help? I got two cockatiel girls today. I spent a lot of research and time on studying their behavior and food and cages... So they should have it good. But now they have been here for about twelve hours and they're only sitting on one perch, not eating, not drinking as I could say, I don't think they're pooping a whole lot, as they should, they won't even eat some of the millet, just because it fell on the floor from the perch they were sitting on. I don't want to worry too much or push the girls into anything, so I didn't try to "get them to eat" then rather giving them the chance to get food. I don't want them to be sick, but also they have been checked in the pet store so they weren't sick a couple weeks ago. Is this normal?
