I swear biking is helping me quit drugs/alcohol/cigarettes' abuse. seeing this videos helps me every time, thanks! Edit: so it’s been 10 months now, down to 2 smokes a day, only drink if I’m invited to places. Haven’t touch any other drug in over 6 months, over 1200 miles on the bike. Baby steps, but I’ve never been happier in my life, getting ready now for a 60 mile ride. There will be a 100 mile “race” in a couple months that I’ve been training for now for the past 2 months. It’s in May. So a couple more months. I have yet to do 100 miles. Edit2: Alright guys, completely stopped smoking a month ago!! and I highly recommended non-alcoholic beers, really helped on my slow recovery. Because of work I haven't been able to train as much as I'd hope, so I'm settling for the 62 miles on may 7th . I gotta crush it. All these replies have been great. Glad a lot of other people are finding help within cycling. Edit3: That ride crushed me! lol But, I did complete it, and it was a blast having so many riders in a controlled environment, definitely had a couple moments where I thought I should've gone for the actually 100 miles, but after it was over, I'm glad I didn't. The last 2 miles of the trip was a huge hill/mountain that we had to climb, that's the one that hurt. Highly recommend the Santa Rosa Wine Century if you're in Cali. Bought the Jersey after completing it(100km), but I refuse to wear it till I do the 100 miles (tour or solo). Sadly you're boy was doing good, almost bought a house; didn't go through, got me feeling like shit, a loser, fell down the pit a bit again, have done multiple drugs again this year, smoking, drinking again. There is only 4 months left for the next wine century, but there is no way I can do the 100 miles this year, my body is too damaged...again. Sorry to disappoint. Hope edit 4 will be the good one.

Get a bike today. If it’s 10 years old and steel and built with Shimano 105, buy it and ride it and ride it some more, and ride it everywhere. Every day that you’re waiting to save enough money to by a BSBB, you’re spending wasted days on saving and not riding. I’ve ridden two weeks in Costa Rica every January for eleven years and all my Tico/Tica friends are on 10 year old rides with calipers, legacy mechanical groupos, no power meters, no CF wheel sets and are mind blowing riders. I’m an American and I travel with my BSBB and I’m always reminded how little the arrow matters and how much the Indian does. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4XZg4GPYsRjZqs www.puravidacyclingchallenge.com/
