Good job to Lilly. A well taught daughter in every way! She follows her heart bravely; she’ll do great things. My daughter Lindsey loves everything wild, adventurous, and humorous as well. And she receives her PhD in Genetics from CU Boulder this December. Great job raising 2 great daughters. - a Dad of 2 daughters.

Lovely video guys!! Quick comment from a video production guy, I loved the aerials of the truck and trailer coming down grades. I know how much effort it is to get those few seconds of screen tine. They looked amazing!!! As for anchor points we really have one at this time. That anchor point is San Diego. It's where Toni and I grew up, raised out children and ran our business for the last 20 years. We winter there to get work done for our clients, fill the bank account and head back out on the road.

Mt Rushmore at night was fabulous last month and we got to boondock at the foot of Devil's Tower in the campground there. Then went to the Wall on the Badlands and boondocked. Loved it all. Love seeing you at places we've been. Don't apologize for not being "live" on your videos. I'm impressed that you're as close to live as you are- you're not too far behind at all. I'm appreciative for your videos always and thank you for the incredible hard work!

We went over that pass, Rt 16 from Buffalo to Ten Sleep 5 years ago in mid October. We got sucked in with all the signs to take Rt 16. Well, we proceeded over the mountains, and soon into the journey, we started to see snow flurries, then more, and more and more until the flurries were a downright whiteout. So we took our time, no problem. When we finally crested the pass and had to come down the mountain in about 3” of fresh snow without any road maintenance. I had to stop at the top, get out of the truck, gather my nerves (and check my shorts) before we continued on. Oh, I failed to mention we had our brand new (1st trip) Grand Design Imagine. Scared ****less, with Jake brake engaged, we crawled down the backside into Ten Sleep. We (specifically, I, as the driver) were never so happy to see dry roads again. But we made it safe and sound, saw lots of critters and we’ll/I will never forget Rt. 16 as long as I live. I really enjoy your channel, guys!

Another item people don’t keep in mind when they work their truck or motorhome how hot the turbo charger gets. So if you have a turbo diesel, always let it idle for a few minutes before you shut it down to allow the exhaust temperature to cool so you don’t Koch the oil on the bearings. I spent most of this summer in Idaho and it is beautiful just outside of West Yellowstone Montana. This was with a lot of friends that I have met on the road and it was fun.

Jake brakes are really useful. Lilly really shouldn't have touched that bat; it could've been sick, she could've been bit, and bats are responsible for spreading several really terrible diseases.

Yeah, I couldn’t believe that they were encouraging her to touch and hold that bat. Even though there is treatment for rabies that prevents most deaths, bats are still the leading cause of death from rabies. It’s not just an episode of The Office
@marrtianchronicles5702

Absolutely! They have such needle sharp teeth, people often don’t even realize they have been bit! A rancher had one fly and hit him in the chest, but because he had a down vest on, he didn’t think anything of it because he couldn’t even see a wound. He died of rabies! Whenever you encounter a bat, leave it be or if you are grazed by one, get the rabies protocol!!!

That is very true, Cory, and especially if you drive a Turbo diesel, you never wanted to shut your engine off. When you Are getting off. the freeway. Let it sit and run 5 minutes. So the fan in the Turbo can slow down. You don't want it spinning that fast with no oil going to it..

I caught a bat about 10 years ago. Got in major trouble. Kept it in a solo cup til I could get it home to put out with my bat boxes. (Nurse) dr found out what I did and had a hissy fit. Had to keep getting bloodwork done to make sure I didn’t have rabies since I had turned it loose. I feel for lili. I am a severe animal lover and it wasn’t happy where it was. So…. I've only been to the Tetons once and definitely want to go back for at least a week stay. It is beautiful. Dash Cam. We don't have one but one of our sons goes to the Minneapolis area frequently for training for his job. He has one on his pickup. He had footage of a crazy driver that tried to drive him off the road several times. My son finally had to do some tricky driving to get away from this driver. He took the footage to the police station, but they didn't want it or go after the other driver. They said this other driver had no license or insurance so they wouldn't do anything even though there was damage to my son's pickup. It is an instance where it does nothing for relationship between the young and the police. It is a sad state when criminals are just left to do their criminal activity with no repercussions.

We love the Tetons and hope to visit Idaho in the future. Last year we made sure to go around instead of over the Teton pass when we went to Colter Bay. Our Class A will drop to 30 mph going up before it downshifts to increase speed up hill. We are right at 26,000 lbs with the TOAD so the F53 7.4L V8 gasser struggles a little. Also just added a dashcam to the RV and setup an older one in the Jeep.

This is why diesels have the advantage in mountain driving; the exhaust brake (or jake brake). Taking it easy and going slower on steep grades using the engine brake keeps things under control and safe.

That road is no joke, with my 5.3 and my previous 21' trailer the only time I ever felt the pedal drop to the floor was trying to maintain the 50 speed limit going up from the west side, very steep plus high altitude with a naturally aspirated engine made it a struggle.

Next year, we plan to go to the Michigan UP, visit friends along the way and meet up with my brother up there. We'll visit places we haven't seen in 45 years, eat pasties, hunt Lake Superior Agates and the elusive Yooperite. Then we'll head west for our mountain trip to explore roads not previously traveled feast on new vistas that calm the heart and soul. Y'all have safe travels! From what I understand about bats they cannot take off from the ground so if you see one on the ground and you want to save it place it somewhere high enough to fly from. Have you guys been to Lassen Volcanic national park yet ? Butte lake campground is a great place to stay while visiting and if you want an awesome night hike/photography spot do the Cinder Cone hike, I like night hikes and that one is without a doubt my favorite of them all.
