Hello Darlings! I've been meaning to make this video for a while since so many of you lovely viewers have asked how I keep my wet-set on a day-to-day basis. So, here it is! This has to be the easiest part of vintage hair styling, wrapping it up each night only takes about 20 seconds, no joke! I hope you enjoy the video and find some useful tips to help prolong your own vintage wet-set!
Lots of love,
Sage Xx
Check out Laci Fay's video on how she keeps her wet-set for 7 days!

I enjoyed watching this video. I had a not so good day and was a little depressed and when I saw your video popup on my phone I got excited. Thank you for making my day better today. :). I love your hair (fringe) in front. I like the way it curls and falls on your face it's so pretty. I had my hair cut like yours and for some reason when I curl it, the front doesn't look like yours. I must be doing something wrong.

I love your style and how you wear vintage pin curls so beautifully. As a hairstylist I love the style and wish it would make a come back. I also only wash 2xs a week, you should try using the dry shampoo before bed. I find it absorbs oils and sweat when we sleep better than trying to brush it though same day. Love all you do.

I just started practicing wet sets. At chin length (with layers...sighs), it's still too short, to really to something with the result - but I figured, I could just as well start practicing the rolling techniques now. It certainly takes a lot of practice, to get it right.

CONGRATULATIONS! for your KZbin award! I watched this video with a smile as remembering how I bobby pinned my hair every night during my teens. My thick hair was always flexible & bouncy yet stayed in placed. Wish I had thought of the ideas you now use day-by-day. And oh, I learned to open the bobby pins with one hand vs teeth (my mother insisted!). Took a little practice, but I felt like I had won the bobby pin Olympics! 🤗

Did you have to 'train' your hair to look so perfect after running the brush through the curls when you first started? Like how you have to train the part in your hair etc... when I brush my hair out post curls it instantly separates and frizzes out

It's the type of brush she's using. Older brushes like that were made to go through curls without ruining it. I have naturally curly hair and I'm lucky enough to have a brush my great grandmother used. It calms my curls without frizz and gives it a softer look.

Loved your video. I laugh at myself though because your nighttime routine is my daytime look. I have 3b curly hair and a mother of 3 small children. I fake the vintage look using my natural hair texture just with a hair net and bobby pins. I do not brush out since my curls frizz and never brush smooth even if I have taken the time to foam roller my natural curls to relax and make them more consistent.

@SageLilleyman
@SageLilleyman 3 жыл бұрын
Make sure to only very lightly dampen your hair with setting lotion, If you are still finding it hasn’t dried by the morning, keep it in for at least 10 hours overnight. Haha I know foam rollers can be very uncomfortable! My advice would be to remove the hard clip from the roller and instead replace a ribbon in the foam tube and tie that up to keep your hair sets in place, much more comfy! 💞
