Saggy roof fix 2003 dodge dakota. First time but went pretty well over all a lot better then it was, took a good half day to finish and about $45. just need few basic tools and I would recommend getting new fabric, I got mine from Walmart and some spray adhesive and you're good to go. if you have any more questions please feel free to message me and I'll try and answer questions but don't be scared to do this project it's pretty easy and saves so much money over paying someone to do it

Thanks, man. Used this video to fix my headliner today. Worst part was getting those hooks that the sun visor clips into. Those bastards were really stuck in there.

If you need a quick, temporary fix to keep the liner off of your head until you have the time to fix it properly like this, get a dozen push pins with the plastic molded around them (the type used on cork memo boards). Put a drop of super glue on the tips (motorcycle grip glue is my go-to) and push 'em into that composite material on the roof. They'll stay put & keep the material from flapping on your head & driving you nuts. You may even be able to find the pins in a matching color✌

One question....did you paint the Pannels? I was thinking that I might but I thought that I would ask!

+tedd burns I didn't paint them, but I sprayed glue adhesive on them and use the material I put on roof on the pillars as well. Came out great and there already off so I would recommend

Thanks, my dakota sat for a few years in a damp climate and the headliner dropped everywhere. I just tore out the loose fabric part for now, but looking how replace it.

The "star" is actually a Torx screw.

When you made the cuts where the handles and lights go did you do that last after u put the ceiling back on so u knew where to cut ?

Yes, I put it all one then cut and leave extra so u can wrap it to the under side

I rolled my 2002 dodge over just smashed roof little on driver side and front window I can fix my self with hydraulic jack mechanic told me this thru I only had liability pip 2500 someone please tell everything still works trust starts right up ac heat crazy is this true

Looks great. I have an '02 Dakota quad cab, black exterior, dark gray interior, light gray headliner. It's sagging & I want to replace the headliner with black, and paint the ceiling console, piler covers, handles & other hardware with krylon fusion (spray for plastics). I didn't hear you mention it, but what size headliner did you buy? I'll order the next size up to have extra to cover the visors in black. Thanks.

Ya that would look nice man, I covered the pipers and all that with the fabric, but painting would probably look better, not sure of size I just got some fabric at Walmart just measuring the roof 😎🤙

@@RoadVentureRV I'll keep you posted. I bought my '02 new in Dec '01. I've taken very good care of it, & it just turned over 60k miles. So I plan on keeping it & put whatever need be to keep it on the road. The body paint/clearcoat is failing from age. I'm going to paint the body with Raptor black 2 part bedliner finish for under $400. Much less than a decent paint job, & much more durable. 👍

+William Evans yes out the passenger door, need to lay the seats down as much as you can tho to make it easier, or could even take seat out ( I didn't take seat out )

Forgot the size, but just use a tape measure and measure how long it is and how wide, if it's 6ft long then get 2.5 yards. I got material at Walmart it's cheap and looks good

Used the same fabric as the roof, they all had to come off anyways so figured y not do them as well.

Didn't buy the wrong color at all, I think it looks way better. Keep urs the same thats your choice mine was change it an love it so much more now 😎🤙just made video to show how to do it if anyone wanted help with it. Hope it helped
