Saguaro David Lanz and Paul Speer

Saguaro from the music video album Desert Vision released in 1987. Originally shot on 16mm film and this transfer is from the laserdisc. I now live a short drive from this location Saguaro National Park.

We had the VHS tapes for this and Dessert Vision. After a crazy week at work we would put these on and completely unwind. After having kids we'd often play these when it was time for them to settle down. Great memories!

My 18 wheeler Sound Trax. A million Miles. 48 States and Canada. After 20 years in the US Army 10 years. Really great. Music. Been to a few places this music really fits in. I 10. 40. Monument Valley. The Grand canyon. Great in the desert. Where I grew up.

These guys are great. If you have the whole long play vinal album and I recorded it on cassette tapes played it in my Freight liner 18 wheeler. Driving the lower 48 states and Canada. It's best in the western US. The music 🎵🎶 just fits what you are seeing. Relaxing as you drive 600 miles a day.

Thanks for the memories - my sister lives about an hour north of you, and I have a couple of friends who moved to Tucson about 20 years ago from New York. All of them absolutely love the area, and the natural landscape dotted with saguaros is a big part of it.

to this day I liste ]n to this. I use the music to give presentations to my friends of my travels. Your music is timeless. Thank you and be safe. Can you go out and hike during this epidemic. Im in Spain. No bike rides, hikes, etc.

Thank you Trekker for posting and we are glad our music still has a place in your life. Where I live in Southern Arizona, we can hike and go to the market and pharmacy but keep distance from other people and we do wear masks. A sad time in our lives.

Have any musicians/singers/recorders covered the instrumental melody for the Saguaro (or the Seguaro, not sure which spelling is right) following the song release?

I am not aware of any but that doesn't mean there could be. Saguaro was misspelled with an "e" on the original release artwork. 🌵

Haha. I now live 30 minutes from this place. Many live to 200+ years. This was shot in 1987 so I wonder how Mickey looks now.
