Fun fact: she was originally a he in original japanese games! Also I could tell the walls/ floors for tickets were random when i had the EXTREME misfortune of getting the SAME floor for tickets, that i had just bought from her! I was salty that day!

Yep. They went with female in the NA version mostly because of the long eyelashes. He has long eyelashes though because... well, just look at a camel's eyelashes... they have long eyelashes to help protect their eyes from sand. Long eyelashes however fall under what tvtropes calls "tertiary sexual characteristics" for female in a lot of media... think like celeste's bow or phyllis' lipstick.

I need that river floor and the corresponding wall in my life. Maybe one of these days I'll get them from Sahara. Then I'll have to decide whether I want to stick with my traditional Japanese basement, or go for a zen garden type thing. I think I'm going to have to keep my bamboo toilet room as is, and I like what I did with my traditional style bath and shower room. My cherry tree picnic room is going to have to stay as is too, as is my tatami bedroom complete with a kotatsu area with sitting cushions, separated by two screens.

I saw what it looked like and I felt ripped off by her so when she came the second time to my island, I swear I wasn't going to buy anything off of her. Quick correction: Rugs were introduced in Happy Home Designer. They, the wall items, exterior decoration, and the interior decoration mechanics and items were carried over into New Horizons. The only thing specific to the spinoff that hasn't carried over are the insanely cute house exteriors which makes me sad.

While trying to set up a proper kitchen setup for my house I lucked into getting a kitchen rug from Sahara one day. I like the native american-styled pattern it sports

A tip: you can re-buy any of Saharah's rugs (but NOT wallpaper or flooring) from the catalog, in case your storage is getting full and you don't have plans to use any rugs you have in there right away.
