I try all your recipes. I was telling my mother you posted and soon we will be trying saheena as well. Thank you. It looks tasty and once again you never fail to simplify the method as easy as possible for us.

D bush tends to scratch the back of your throat if you don’t wash them well, hence the lime

What is the purpose of washing with lime?

@Lord Midnite you wash the dasheen bush with lime so it doesn't scratch your mouth when eating the saheena

I was wondering why you wash the dasheen with lime? I’m only asking because I learned how to make this from my mom but she never did that step so I was wondering if there was any particular reason behind it..

Hmm... I use some when I’m making these but I usually throw them out after🤔🤔 never really thought of using them

@@JennaGTheHijabiTT ..hello Jenna .. it's called curry saheena that's what I was told when I had it ... being a vegetarian i am always willing to try new recipe..I thought maybe u had it ..if u ever come across or have it maybe u can try it out ..then u can share the recipe with all of us .. keep well ..and thank you for all the hard work that you do ..in helping us to improve the way we cook ..

This is more like the indian phulorie or bhajia. We would use spinach, cabbage, onions. More traditional saneena is rolled, steamed then fried.

We know there's a traditional version ... this is how some people prefer to eat it in TRINIDAD rather than the rolled version

@@dumbfrap88 Use dasheen leaves and besan. You can add tamarind juice and jaggery instead of lime juice and sugar.
