D bush tends to scratch the back of your throat if you don’t wash them well, hence the lime

I was wondering why you wash the dasheen with lime? I’m only asking because I learned how to make this from my mom but she never did that step so I was wondering if there was any particular reason behind it..

This is more like the indian phulorie or bhajia. We would use spinach, cabbage, onions. More traditional saneena is rolled, steamed then fried.

@@dumbfrap88 Use dasheen leaves and besan. You can add tamarind juice and jaggery instead of lime juice and sugar.
