Шикарное видео! Ауита- великий бегун Его лучший результат на 1 милю до сих входит в число 10 лучших. Он первым пробежал 3000м быстрее 7.30 и 5000м быстрее 13 минут. А его рекорд на 1500м держался 7 лет

How does he so often get forgotten? He was unquestionably the greatest runner of the 1980s. Was it just because he was overshadowed by coverage of Coe vs. Ovett and then adding Cram to the mix?
@RunnerUniverse6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Indeed, during that era, Britain dominated the middle distance running scene with three extraordinary athletes. Consequently, Said Aouita, hailing from an Arab country, received less coverage and recognition, despite being one of the greatest runners of all time.

We cannot accuse someone of doping unless they fail a doping test. There are many cases that warrant investigation, often glaringly obvious to us, yet the individuals involved are cleared or not accused. @@RunnerUniverse I wouldn't go quite that far (for example, Barry Bonds passed every drug test and his head swelled like a balloon), but Aouita had no telltale sign of PED usage such as a change in physique or suddenly needing braces because of an elongated jaw like Carl Lewis and a lot of other sprinters of the era did.
