Excellent finish work. It looks like you could just wash off the amine blush and paint. No sanding necessary, given how smooth the installation looks. Very nice.

You must have used slow hardener, right?

Can slow hardener, WestSystems 206 be used, instead of 207?

I am new to boating. Why can't you just screw it in like you did and leave it like that? Why all the extra filling and then placement of white sheets?

The strength of the chemical bond between the epoxy and cloth/wood is significantly stronger than any mechanical bond could ever be. This process makes a one piece hull with lateral strength in every direction that is able to spread out a load much more effectively.
