I hope all is well, I am a photographer/videographer, illustrator and artist. Thank you for the small studio setup idea, I haven't got a boat yet but I have been look to set a studio up in a van to make video and photograph sights and scenes, also films on traditional pagan and christian cultural activities across the UK and Europe among other ideas like painting and drawing, photography, mysticism and so on. The sail boat idea/option became a thought after lockdown when I started to look for a solution to my static situation. KZbin flagged you as of possible interest on my searches, I have subscribed couple of days ago and rang the bell and will continue to follow your travels and your little adventures. Go well and all the best. Rich.

It is funny that you said that you hope that one day you hope that you will be a retired rich guy that can afford live in a boat. There is a lot of retired rich people that wish they were working to afford to live in a boat to sail around the world and 20 years younger. Normally these retired rich people are also 65+ years old. Another great video.

First time catching your video, woke up this morning thinking about what is the take away. I was intrigued by the sound booth you make and specially interested as I always wake too early and listen to audio books to calm the devil churning mind. I was reminded of a 4 year old me building a cubby house under the kitchen table " here,s my laptop table, here,s my sound proofing and so on.... So my take away, is not the sailing away into to sunset but that you have the freedom to be able to do that and at some time when you tire of the hard work and hardships in boobing around in the sea. I find it fascinating how technology is creating a new freedom that many of us in our 9-5 lives are failing to see Love and best wishes Ken

Hey Guys, great video! That sounds like a cool way to be employed! I on the other hand have been doing the 9-5 routine. Actually most of the last 15 years have been 6:00 to 2:00, which I loved! Now of course the schedule is retirement based...Getting used to that! Loved your shelf! being able to re purpose that shelf you removed was nice. I sleep in the aft cabin on my 35.5 and I think that is a very quiet place. Maybe boats are better for your kind of work after all? As for my future funding, lets see if I need to go back to work when I come back from my cruise!

Thanks for watching my friend! Yeah, the general sound inside boats is definitely great for vocal recording, more so the bigger and thicker a boat gets. So I knew it could be done! And just spend a ton of time at anchor and you'll save all that dough!

Great video. It was very informative because I have a 5 to 10 year plan of doing the same thing of sailing around the world. My family have a condo over on St Simons so I know the area well. @SailAwayVlog5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Sorta tough to get into. I already had recording experience and home studio from being a professional musician and sent demos to dozens of publishers. Took over a year of nagging to get one offer, then a very slow build from there. Also check out ACX.com. It's a pretty good way to get started.
@gfimadcat5 жыл бұрын
@@SailAwayVlog thanks for the info! I think it will probably be a tough thing to get into, I have the gear (gear-collecting musicians unite!) but no real experience with any of this, neither does she so - eh, something new to try! Suggestion: on private chats, cut the background music...not really needed, specially the rock stuff!
