Lessons learned always valuable. 393 is a really nice boat, especially the Pullman birth. Curious what that was on the wall behind you in the head? Tight sails!

Thanks Ed! yea the boat is really amazing, great construction and strong materials, really love it! we installed a washing mashine=) so far we still can only use it with shore power but hopefully next upgrades are batteries 🤞🏽 thanks a lot! what boat you sail on?

About your carrots and onions going "off" to quickly in nets, I think the bigger factor is the way the fruit and veggie supply chain works here in Europe. The strategy here seems to be to have things available in shops as late as possible rather than as soon as possible and I often found things like carrots with black mould - in the supermarkets here; food is nearer to the end of shelf-life this way. In Australia, a much bigger place with much more transport issues, things are way better and, for example, carrots last much better. It seems as if things here are geared towards people perhaps even shopping each day, but then buying things for passage are also harder here. Boo!

Thanks Ian, yea we've seen similar so far but it also depens a lot on the store or chain in the end...really sad that a full bag of onions did not survive more then 5 days...same with the black mold on the carrots...but happy they did not contaminate the other veggies and fruits=) next time we try to take the onions outside and install a net there in the shadow=)

@@WhenSailing all make sense but I'm looking at canned veggies being bay primary supply, with fresh being a luxury bonus at the start. I just can't get over the very sad veggies I see in European supermarkets.

@WhenSailing3 жыл бұрын
