You have bottle opener on your fork? Wow. In the north of Ireland we do not get a midnight sun, but in june and july the sky merely goes dark blue. Do you have a midnight night for December ?

+Sailing Yacht Salty The midnight night is what we call the polar nights🙂. Meaning that the sun is in fact disappearing from late November until the middle of January. Not a fun period for a sailor😳 And: no, there is no opener on the fork, just acting macho😆

We've never had the chance to experience the midnight sun. We were close, in Iceland, when we were there in June, but Iceland is just below the Arctic Circle, so the sun did go below the horizon, even though it never got completely dark. Do houses in Norway have blinds or shutters? The fact there were neither is what really surprised us in Iceland.

Hi, Bodø is just above the arctic circle. People that are not used to the midnight sun often get problems sleeping even when using blinds. For us who lives up here we hardly think about it 😅
