I've learned more on your channel by far than any other sailing channel. I'm not a sailor yet, but my dream is to retire on a boat. I love your videos and your dry wit make my wife and I laugh frequently :)

That shark at the end was a Nurse shark, they are pretty chill sharks that often let divers pet them. One of the safest to swim with

So cool - I was doing flying lessons for my ATP in 1993 in Florida and was flying frequently to the Bahamas and once we stayed at Staniel Cay for a week. We rented a rib and did not know about the thunder ball crove & the wild pigs before we snorkelled in there. On the way back we wanted to make a break on a beach when we saw a pig coming towards us (waiting for food) and we panicked because we didn’t know. 😂There was not much else there in the 90s. I can see that it’s now a quite frequented spot. Thank you for taking me back to good memories Igor and many enjoyable Bahama mamas (cocktail) in the bar on Staniel Cay. Bahamian people are just lovely. Forgot the Conch Fritters

One day we will hire you to be our captain. Been following your channel for a long while. Learned some basics sailing skills from your videos. You always said Croatia is most beautiful place…. Seems you like Caribbean more 😂 Keep filming and posting videos 👍 Uzdravlje pozdrav iz Kanade

Hi Holly...good to see you still sailing around the world! It's so nice when you sail into a strange place and the people welcome you and treat you like their own! Great video, also the snorkeling was very beautiful 😍. Stay safe..from the east coast of Canada. PS ...we had a 4 day snowstorm and the wind is wild!

Great videos that you have produced. I'm curious about the synthetic teak. Was that factory installed or aftermarket? Is it hot to walk on during a sunny day?
@IgorStropnik11 ай бұрын
Thanks 🙏 It gets hot yes. Otherwise it’s good and durable but I would go with normal teak and maintenance is easy.

Igor ! Another great video. Thanks ! If a catamaran was not an option, what would you say is the max draft to cruise around the Bahamas and enjoy it ?
@IgorStropnik11 ай бұрын
Thanks 🙏 I would go with monohull with lifting keel, min draft 1m, boat lenght max 12m. Otherwise 1,6m is ok. 1,8m probably not, 2m not good.

I wish I dived those coral head when I was there. There is probably a lot of life but we look at them as a nuisance when we are going somewhere. I saw so much life in the cuts where we often see them as danger because of current and rages, just a question of perspective. The Bahamas are weird. all thoses beachs, island beatifull water and not much to do or culture. It's mostly deserted and it become boring fast if you don't meet a lot of people.
