Thanks,, Pal. I always look forward to your videos. And, this is another enjoyable one. Doffing your sailor’s cap, one can tell that you are back in your element. 👍👍

Another relaxing and informative video about all these natural beauties. Special thanks for the norsk subtitles mate! They are really helpful especially for me learning norsk and preparing for my living there in a few months time. Greatly appreciated! Ha det bra and looking forward for your next video!

When you do another video of sailing the fjord could you show more of the landscape, and the islands? I am curious to see what it all looks like. Oslo is a very nice city and is a bit like my city, Victoria BC but Oslo is about twice the size with a lot more modern buildings.

Hi Louise, I certainly can. In the summer I was thinking about making an episode about "island hopping" in the Oslo fjord. I've never been to Victoria, but I've been to Vancouver. And I've seen several sailing videos from around the Vancouver island, and it looks quite beautiful. In many ways similar to some parts of Norway.

Pal, You have to stay up to watch the oilers tonight. Game time is in about a half hour. Remind me what is the insignia is on your Norwegian flag on your boat.
@norwaywithpal3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, how strange my girlfriend just told me the Oilers had played (just before seeing this comment), and that they lost :/ The insignia is the Royal Crest of the King
@davidlawrence25083 жыл бұрын
Yes, the royal crest of the king. You fly that flag, because you were in the royal guard? I always loved the princess story. I can't figure out the Oilers, they should be a great team.
@norwaywithpal3 жыл бұрын
@@davidlawrence2508 I fly it because I am a member of the marina of the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club :) very fancy... hehe... Can't figure out the Oilers either. Hope they will win some title soon

How many times do you go sailing in a week on average?
@norwaywithpal3 жыл бұрын
Rarely more than 1-2. Maybe once during the week, and once during the weekend. But I make up for it by sailing 3-4 weeks continuously during the summer vacation. At least during COVID that is.. I've had more summer vacation last year than I had the last 7 years :o

I am confused as to what should be considered a Fjord... Oslo Fjord seemed quite flat and is certainly not what I have pictured or saw online.
@norwaywithpal2 жыл бұрын
Hei Liam, fjords come in all shapes and sizes. The ones that are usually on instagram etc are the more scenic ones. The Oslo fjord is not as dramatic as many of the fjords in the western parts of Norway, but it sure has its charm :)

i can get an albin vega for less than 5 grand. fix it up for another grand. but can't afford mooring. :(
@norwaywithpal3 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry to hear that, mooring can be ridiculously expensive. And public/smaller harbors in your area? I was on a waiting list for almost 4 years for a berth in a community driven harbor here in Oslo. Cost very little compared to the bigger private marinas.
