Very nice episode.... A touch of melancholy, but also shows the realities of sailing... The ups and downs... The duality of it all. Syracuse looks so interesting... The kind of place you could explore for a week and keep seeing interesting little details.

As a fellow canadian and lover of the sea, I'm excited that I discovered your channel. Over the past several days I have been acquaiting my self with your adventures and beginnings. I'm a fan of both of you but I must admit that Maya's violin and beautiful words are compelling to me. Aladino you are a calm and skilled partner that genuinely makes this adventure safe and fulfilling. Merry Christmas wherever you are.

My suggestion, or maybe wish, is for you to make a play list of the episodes when Maya sings. Your singing voice is as pleasant as your lyrical speaking voice. I remember you saying in a previous episode that you don’t think you’re good? Well, you’re not. You’re superb! What a wonderful voice, in all capacities. Merry Christmas, you two!

The glasses are a cool look! I chuckled at the Walmart comment - you know your cross-over (van life) audience :-) Maya I so love your commentary. You have a great talent for narrating the moment. Specifically describing the sudden feel of being at home when the light changed during the storm. Or describing the pink hues of Syracuse on your walk. Wonderful as always.

Hi Maya & Aldino, another beautiful episode, its like your watching an episode from the travel channel, I could listen to Maya play and sing all day, she is insanely talented. Well we left the warm weather of south Florida and the comfort of are sailboat to go to Vancouver, my niece is getting married, omg, Vancouver is a gorgeous city, so much to do up here, looks like a great place to have a sailboat, but not during the winter time, the places we have visited so far are world class, the places are,BRIGHT NIGHTS AT STANLEY PARK, VANCOUVER CHRISTMAS MARKET, CANYON LIGHTS AT CAPILANO SUSPENSION BRIDGE,and my favorite FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AT VANDUSEN BOTANICAL GARDENS. wishing both you of a very Merry Christmas......

I loved those views of St. Peters and St. Paul's cathedral. Amazing mix of ancient temple transitioned to Catholic Church. Says so much about Sicilian culture and brought back fond memories of a bicycle tour around the island 27 years ago as newlyweds. Doesn't look like much has changed. I'd love to revisit by boat but for now, I'll travel vicariously through you guys. Enjoy!

I have watched many of your videos and they are all great. However, I must confess, I am always awe stricken with Alidano's resplendent beauty. There may be other words to describe a male's bewitching face and hair, but mot may come to mind at this moment. I love it when Maya calls you her "beautiful" Alidano. (hope I spelled that right.) Her description is spot on. There should be a law that people like you should have to clone themselves. You are also so gifted in so many other things, as I witnessed at the beginning with the reconstruction of the boat. As you guys visited Syracuse I could only think of one thing ...there should be a huge statue of the Beautiful Alidano somewhere in the center square. As one guy to another....millions of guys would crawl on glass for miles to look like you. You have one of the most beautiful faces & hair I've ever seen on a guy in my life. In the movie industry that would be a million dollar image. You are straight out of central casting. No wonder Maya keeps you at sea and out of circulation. If I were her I would too. Much love, Merry Christmas, and best wishes to both of you.

One of the most beatuiful and favorite places we visited along with Modica, Ischia, and Marina De Regusa .When walking the ancient sea wall I remember saying what a place to visit by sail. You are most fortunate. Wishing you more wonderful adventures on magic Carpet and a very Merry Christmas from Newfoundland , Canada.

It wasn't until you mentioned Syracuse and I googled it that we remembered! @Bart Young Check out safety glasses at an optical shop. I have gotten safety glasses with frames that I liked at places like safety equipment supply stores and welding supply outlets. I've bent, broke and wore out a lot of prescription glasses in the last 49 years. These days, more often than not, my frames and lenses have come from different places. Stylish is not necessarily quality and superior quality is not necessarily stylish. After all, just like Harleys and boats, style is determined by each individual beholder.

As we say in New England, those glasses are wicked awesome dude! lol. Thanks for this episode and all the others. Is there an SMC's favorite hacks, fixes, repairs etc vid? that would be great from a boat builder. Crowd favorite. For example - how your wind vane is set up tied to your tiller - love the chain and rubber bushing rig! Also, what is your reefing setup? Of note as well is MC's color palette: Mahogany, white, turquoise, black, brass. Beautiful. Love the Syracuse footage! My son's college in NY =) Given the news these days, both land and crowd locked.. many of us wish we were you guys rn.

Two romantic sailors with cool spectacles 👓 and a guitar 🎸 cruising through life. It’s good to see both of you sharing time in front of the lens. Wind blown hair on a sailor always makes me laugh and you’ve certainly got it going on 🤣! There’s a t-shirt that says “ Boat Hair Don’t’ Care “ and you could wear it proudly.
