Technical sailing videos have their place but nothing nourishes the human soul like art, which I'm inclined to believe is the essence of sailing. A perfect match.

Along the coast of Norway and Sweden, there are thousands of places to anchor up like you have been doing in this video and many of them are so nice that you almost don't want to leave or so safe that it almost feels like you are in a marina. I grew up doing just this each summer with my parents and my brother from a fairly young age and up until I turned 18 and even then I joined them now and then just to get away from it all. So everything in this video seems familiar to me and if I'm right I've also anchored up close to where you have stayed more than a decade ago. :D Oh, and I almost forgot. Get local sea maps as not all underwater dangers are properly marked and a few are even unmarked just so the local can sit around being hopeful that some sucker will run a ground. My family has a cabin a few leagues inside the Norwegian border and there within sight from the windows there is a danger right under the surface in the middle in a huge open bay that really shouldn't be there and it should really be marked as you can stand on it in a shorts and not get the shorts wet on low tide. But there is no visible marks on the surface at all. So maps are a NEED and you need local maps to be sure. It's annoying that many such places has still not been added to the online charts. I know this because I have checked.

Wow! What an amazing video. My favorite part Maya was when you were in your beautiful blue silk dress with magic carpet in the background at the most beautiful anchorage and you making music on your violin what a blessing it was just stunning. Also the individual pictures all of them are absolutely beautiful and it was wonderful to hear your best friend play at the end. What an awesome video I absolutely loved it. PeaceAndLove Lori

This episode was phenomenal! It’s gotten to the point where I may have to use a thesaurus every time I write these comments, for fear of repeating the same adjectives over and over. This episode, like all previous in the series, has wonderfully captured the spirit of summer. Can’t wait for the next one, and many more after that! Fair winds, -J

Wow! I'm in awe at the videography and sound design in this one! Your channel is one of very few that truly capture the beauty of sailing in such a simple yet complex way. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time and effort that it takes to make one of these videos to such detail and polish that you do. The ambient sounds like the winches and sails flapping are like music themselves and when coupled the with beautiful music its like magic! Really captures the beauty of sailing. Thank you for continuing to create these videos they are an absolute gem!
