Wow Hluhluwe reserve brings back happy memories. I visited South Africa in 1994 and stayed in the Rondvaal village at Hluhluwe Game Park for a night. I was writing postcards in my rondvall and looked up to see 2 Zebra walk past the door, as the camp left the gates open to the wild animals. I love your channel and your documenting your travels is epic. From Devon UK.

Oh my goodness! We missed you by a day or 2. Literally just landed back in the Uk after a 4 week holiday in South Africa. Drove over 5500km from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay, and from there to the amazing Gariep Dam, then onwards to Johannesburg, Pilgrims Rest, God’s Window, and off to the awesome Kruger National Park, where we spend 4 nights at the Olifants rest and Setara. Then headed back to Cape Town via Hanover with way more than 5000 pictures and videos and drone footages. For anyone who has not been and loves nature. This is a life experience, that I would definitely recommend. If you have never been, then I would sooooo recommend it. You will love the road trips like I did with my wife Marion. Pics and videos to come. Looking forward to catching up on your channel. Still gutted we missed you in South Africa. Great video!!!! Hope you are well and greetings from Paolarion.

It is wonderful to see you enjoying yourselves in my home country. I have been blessed to travel all over Africa in my 4x4 and it is a privilege to be able to see our unique wildlife in really beautiful settings. After thirty years of travelling here, I still thrill to witness footage like yours. South Africa is a tremendous country and the people are amazing too. Just the politicians I'm afraid, leave much to be desired. Thank you as ever for a great episode in your saga of Florence and the couple who sail her.

Beautifully filmed and edited. The fact that you took the time to get really good footage of the dung beatles is what impressed me most. Your elephant was a bull and he was just going about his business and using the road. You just happened to be on the path he wanted to use and, when you stopped in the road, blocking his path, he became uneasy and uncertain about how to proceed, especially once a car blocked him from the other side as well. You could tell his unease by the way he was lifting one foot in the air. If you had kept backing ahead of him so that he could keep to his intended path, he would have been perfectly happy. He was actually reasonably relaxed, under the circumstances and there is nothing there I would call a "charge". If an elephant even gives you a serious warning, the experience is a whole other level of frightening. A full on charge really would be the stuff of nightmares.
