The UK won't always be a white majority country. Prof David Coleman at Uni of Oxford has published stats that show if immigration and birthrate trends continue we will be a minority in the UK by 2066. White School age children will be a minority much sooner. Our economic and cultural system disincentivises white births and encourages BAME birthrates which naturally higher, primarily through the welfare system. We're not even allowed to talk about it. I don't have a problem with ANY other race, religion or skin colour what so ever. I do however have an issue with starving victorian children! While at secondary school some woman held an assembly at school asking for donations to some bloody charity created to help starving victorian children who drowned after digging around in the mud of the banks of the Thames in London for pennies. My mate and i were quietly whispering to each as we weren't about to donate to some charity set up to help children who died before MY GRANDPARENTS were born. A teacher saw us talking and invited us both to his classroom at first break. We went along willingly because we thought he needed help with something. NO. The evil git gave us the pump for talking! I am genuinely convinced that Ronald McDonald went to Watt Close C of E school. It's the ONLY reason why a black pump THAT BIG could have been on Mr Allan's shelf!

Seen a few awful comments here about not liking black people and that UK is majority whites so they’re mad at the first advert. Don’t try to hide your racism. People who are so triggered about seeing an advert of someone from a different ethnicity (whether caucasian black Asian or other) clearly aren’t educated or open minded enough and shouldn’t go on holiday and enjoy other countries. stay in your own house, don’t eat other food that’s a different cuisine to yours, don’t buy from shops owned by a different race, don’t buy anything ‘made from china’. it’s sickening that people hate diversity and just want to see people who are exactly the same colour as them. Wtf is wrong with you. Go and see the world, travel, learn about cultures.

@@koitorob It's not a "seems", it's a thing, a deliberate thing to avoid this exact situation. A bit more diversity on TV was the ambition because Britain thrives and survives on it, so instead of having a full black family, for years, US and UK TV dabbled with the interracial thing to warm white people up to the idea of having black people on the tv in relationships, because an entirely normal black family / relationship is an alien concept to some white Brits who still think we eat our children, burn women, use bongo drums to communicate and put voodoo curses on family pets we don't like -_- Given how long it has been that blacks have lived in this country, whether we are a small percentage or not, it shouldn't be a surprise to see us on TV represented like any other British person. I'm third generation, I have no direct ties to anywhere else and white people who weren't even born here think they have more claim to Britishness than I do. I'm proud of my background, but I'm also proud of where I am. I've had no complaints about white people being on TV in a white country, nor do I want a switcheroo whereby black people take over TV, but Christ, 1 advert with a black family and people go insta-racist and start bitching about displacement like they've ever experienced it. "British" museums FILLED with African artifacts and other countries, and we are evaporating white British culture because of an advert? Right.

@Edwin Morrissey Then where should I be, Edwin? Where other than the place I was born and know well should I be? You seem to forget that it was colonialism by BRITS that erased my history, so tell me, where should I call home? Africa? I'm no more familiar with Africa than you are. I know white people who are more in touch with Africa than I could ever be. I could spin that argument, since "Britain is too diverse for your liking", you don't have to be here either., Edwin. It is unfortunate that most people willingly misunderstand BLM. That they ascribe things that BLM does not stand for to BLM to demonize them. That they believe that the violence was somehow organized by BLM, when it is something that happened along side the protests against police brutality and that police basically execute minority suspects that are being controlled or otherwise pose no threat. The fact that people even felt the need to comment on the skin colour of a family in an advert is ridiculous, why does it matter? We're all people, we're all allowed to celebrate Christmas. All the comments I've seen about people coming from white majority areas and part 1 not representing them, not everywhere in Britain is like that. Where I grew up only 2 of the kids in my class at school were white, that's not exactly a white majority. Britain is a diverse and multicultural place, and racists need to get over it.
