Saints OC Klint Kubiak Talks Run Game FAILURE vs. Giants, Commanders Matchup and Young QBs

I don't want our fanbase to feel sorry for ourselves, we have pieces that can take us far, only issue is that we need a franchise QB and a HC that demands respect from his peers. Saints have a franchise QB. Even with how bad the OL has been, even with missing his top 2 WR's, event with everyone being in a new system and the instability of having the HC be fired.....Carr is currently the 8th ranked QB in the NFL right now per PFF, and has one of the best passer ratings in the NFL this season. He has the #1 PFF grade and passer rating going back to week 12 of last season. That is a QB who can play at an elite level. He's currently 33 and on the best vet contract in the NFL on a production per dollar value. Saints are great at QB, and it will only get better as they put more talent around him. Based on how Carr has played, Saints should be a 10+ win team right now. But bc the defense kept giving up leads right after Carr would take them, they lost 3 games they absolutely should have won, one of which was against a SB contender. Saints aren't missing a QB, they have a very good one. What they are missing is talent in the trenches and stability at coaching. That's it. With better health, upgrades in the trenches, and better depth, this team would be a SB contender.

@@jessegardner134PFF?😂 Those guys are literally ruining football making people think their grades are actually reliable, they arent…Carr is a bridge QB who can’t outplay Jameis Winston can’t perform under pressure when the pocket moves, and can’t stay healthy a franchise qb is a Lamar, Jackson, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, even a even a Russel Wilson is better, and as a actual film watcher I can tell u right now PFF and next gen stats cant account for all the variables football brings and is ruining football with casuals who only look at stats to defend a 33 year old vet who can’t step up into the pocket and deliver a strike because he is too scared to get hit 😂 I know it’s his body but damn bro it’s football, look up some film breakdowns on Carr this season and you’ll see how much he leaves on the table isn’t worth the good he brings making him a bridge QB, hope u learned something.

​@jessegardner134 lol it's hilarious to hear ppl regurgitate the same story of our defense giving up points being the reason why the team is in the shape it is but how many times has the defense held the offense to a three and out or even get a crucial turnover only for the kubiak offense to go three and out and give the ball right back. We are an older team especially on defense and so if they those guys get you a stop or turnover you have to take advantage not waste the opportunity. I have seen too many games where the saints enter the 4th quarter with 3 or 6 points and that is simply unacceptable so miss me with the defensive excuses

Kubiak's game plan.. 1) run the ball no matter what. Can't go left, right or middle. Who cares. 2) only pass when it's 3rd and long. Don't need rhythm from qb and wr. 3) down on points. Got that too. Do a gadget play behind the line of scrimmage, they will never expect that..

Some games, he throws on early downs, and in short downs and distances....and others, he just runs 2 times in a row then throws on 3rd and long. I don't get it. It's like his game plans are bipolar 😅. One week, he'll look like the best OC, with plenty of creativity and unpredictability. The next, it's run run pass, or run pass run. Calls random but very predictable deep shots that aren't successful bc they're predictable. Maybe he's still cutting his chops and needs to learn consistency. It is concerning that we're this deep into the season and he still struggles with putting players in position to succeed consistently. Who knows, maybe better OL play fixes everything. It usually does, lol

@@jeremiahcole2542Well, when you have a QB that on 3-5 will throw a 2 yard pass to a beat up RB who then gains 1 yard if lucky. And it happens everytime. Or he just throws it away. Can’t dirty up his stats trying to win the game.

His play calling does need to get better and produce better numbers. But it is not all Klint’s fault. All of our starting wide receivers are out, and we have faced multiple injuries. We need to have faith in Klint.

James man I’m telling u us Saints fan are truly sleeping on Haener, I actually watched all of Haener throws and games including preseason and the few times he came in to relieve Carr, I was curious to see if he really was trash or not, after I evaluated the tapes, I’m telling u, I came out there as a believer in Haener, his traits is having a quick release, quick decision making, and he truly does know how to read a defense and he changes the play when he sees something he doesn’t like, and he has a good pocket awareness to step up and still deliver the ball under pressure, I use to think he was trash too like the rest of the fan base, but not anymore after I evaluated his tapes this season, I promise u, he will make u a believer and more mad at the coaching staff for having Carr start over him, just watch cuz u are totally wrong on Haener being trash, but I don’t blame u I use to too because I never really paid attention to Haener and already was convinced he wasn’t good so when he did come in, I kinda ignored everything that he was doing good and probably only saw two bad plays he did and judge him off of that and ignored the rest of the plays that he did great on like u and most of us Saints fans are doing without actually giving him a chance, I promise u he will prove u wrong
