Yes God definitely speaks to us to let you guys know I used to receive prophetic messages dreams and visions and sometimes I still receive prophetic dreams and visions Not everyone feels or hears the spirit the same way it takes a lot of fasting and prayer to hear Jesus’s voice some hear him audibly the way I used to hear him is basically I would read or listen to the scriptures worship pray fast repent etc for hours and it taught me a lot ever since I joined the church I continue to receive revelations via dreams and visions but no longer by the gift of prophecy I do believe the spirit speaks differently at different times

I'm not a member of the LDS church, butbhave investigated off and on for years. I Have felt the spirit since becoming Christian years ago. I've felt it many times. But I have to say I've honestly never felt it in relation to LDS services, scriptures, etc. Not trying to be negative or cruel, but just giving voice to my experience.

The lord has instructed us in the Bible to ask him in faith when we lack wisdom. It is by his Holy Spirit that he ministers to us. 🤷‍♀️ This shouldn’t be a strange concept to Christians.

Pray for discernment, yes the enemy can lie to us. It's easy to tell if the thought is not yours with this gift. Satan hates us growing in faith.

It's things like this that remind me how not rational. This all is. I get it. "Revelation" feels good. In the same way I'm sure the prophet feels things. Sure. The thing you label as "spirit" is universally accepted and felt as experiences by every human on the planet. It's not proving what scripture you read is true. Or that the holy ghost is telling you what to do. Or that Satan for that matter is telling you what to do. Other people put different labels on this same set of feelings. But it's not rare. It's also not the gift of the Holy Ghost

Sorry, I strongly disagree! The spirit causes a burning a numb and tingle sensation proceeded by overwhelming feeling of joy and happiness. I have witnessed, audible whisper with the words placed in my thoughts at the same time. I have also from time to time heard his voice as though he was standing in front of me. We're given what we can understand , handle or except in our current state .

If your relationship didnt work its because it was not God who told you to be in that relationship. If it was from God it would last till death do you part. If you pray and dont get guidance from God its because you dont know God. God will guide you in all things. He will be your Sheperd. If you dont receive guidance its not because God trusts you. Its because you are in the darkness and cannot see.

I'm sure your comments are genuine, however they are potentially disastrous for young people to adhere to. As mentioned by the young people, sometimes there are things we need to learn from a short term relationship that will help us to eventually have an eternal relationship with the right person. Providing relationships are godly in their intent and practice, no harm will come to either growing, learning individual.
