That method does not apply to the smaller Saito engines. Only the 120, 150, and 180. I have a different video that shows how to time the smaller Saito engines. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIXNdqt9dtSam5o

@@dmrcflyr2 I have an FA 220 GK and thankfully I found your video as the methods shown for smaller Saito's clearly won't work with the tappets. The rubber band idea is a great one, and I used it. I also used a variation of it for the Timing Gear instead of the grease. Just stretch a similar size rubber band between your thumb and forefinger and slip it under the gear tooth closest to the housing with the dot at the top. Then pinch the rubber band tightly to lock the gear in place while inserting it. There is enough of a gap to slip the rubber band out after the teeth engage. Thank you very much for your videos!! The Saito was crashed 15 years ago and it was still attached to the plane, with broken prop and DIRT from the crash. Your LA's Fabulous Cleaner, Heat and Oil, and Bearing Removal videos helped me get it cleaned up and put back together. She's clean as a whistle now. I'll let you if I'm able to get her started. hello my name is Vinícios I'm from Brazil. i need your help please. I have a Saito FG 61 TS I opened the engine's right cylinder and the valve camshaft cover and now to mount the valve camshaft I need to know its correct position! Another doubt is if this engine explodes the combustion chamber at the same or one cylinder at a time?
