Beet the Vandel Buster which has a new chapter coming out in Japan in January 2025. Same author/artist as Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai Both manga are REALLY good old school classic shonen.

I'm guessing it's usually the other way around, but man, the anime has to nail the action/fights because it's so well choreographed and structured in the manga plus the art itself is really good

@@ShonenOuji Definitely should not have big expectations for the anime, have you seen just how underpar the trailer was. Just some goofy animation i know to keep up with the fights but come on, as one of the most popular shonen.

They say the devil is in the detail, and Yuto Suzuki really seems to take that saying to heart. Cause the way he constructs his fight/action scene and the high level of detail he puts into them is an astonishing feat. You can tell he has a strong love and passion for the action genre. I'm both anxious and excited to see how the anime will adapt his work.

Rivals Jjk? Bro Sakamoto days IS above Jjk in terms of fights and choreography. Sometimes jjk fights looks too blurry to comprehend what the characters are doing, whereas Sakamoto days fights looks crystal clear. Edit: I’m comparing the manga version

Sakamoto Days is basically what happen when some of the best action film turns into manga, John Wick, The Raid, Terminator 2, you name it. And it seems the author takes those films as a reference way more than any others

I love how Suzuki made every character have unique fighting styles and weapons based on their personalities. My personal favorite is Nagumo how his weapon is basically like a swiss army knife and it changes form to confuse his enemies which fit his personality a lot.

First manga i ever bought and the first 2 vols absolutely blew me away it was like something sewed perfectly for me a battle managa that is about the importance of family while not being overly dramatic and having a vast of characters that are badass and fun to see with their own unique fighting style but the most important thing is that it keeps itself grounded and then transitioning into an even more crazy idea while not overcomplicating things with something like what Sukuna does in the end of jjk . Overall Sakamoto Days is a genuine marvel for what an actual battle series shoud be.

The reason I mostly like sakamoto day's combat is because it usually "blurs" the attacks and the fights feel dynamic with the environment usually changing, its one of the reasons I like the gojo vs sukuna fight they just dont stay in the same place, I like it when the environment changes and the characters use that environment, they dont stay grounded but to be fair the reason that usually doesn't happen in other series is because the characters are simply... Grounded, in sakamoto days you have people like nagumo who can just appear out of nowhere using his deception, and kindaka who can travel insanely fast, and people strong enough to bust through walls and floors which allows for the change of environment

It’s up there with dbz and one punch man on fight choreography absolute cinema , every fight is so fluid and is easy to understand, I’ve seen the trailer for the anime and it looks nice but it needs to capture that sakamoto day fluidness

I look at Sakamoto days as less than comedy and more of a action story manga. That's why I'm a little disappointed with the animation so far that we've seen. However to be fair I didn't take the first 3 arcs serious of Sakamoto days as they were just the introduction. So guessing that's what the first season will be, just a little low quality but then reaching next season of the Order and Slurs gang i expect the quality of the animation to increase with the mood of the story, hopefully.

Haven't read Dorohedoro that far, but i think this style is more similar to 'traditional' action movies (traditional as in more hand-to-hand like The Raid rather than the typical heavy cgi like MCU) than your typical anime fight scenes

Perfect fights, bad plot. The plot is very boring and simple, and although fights are good, they often lead to nothing. Sakamoto Days could be so good

If you think Simple = bad and Complex = good story then you are wrong, because this series starts as a Slice of Life and romcom story with God tier action. You can enjoy this series if you just don't take this story seriously 😑 (Like a Hollywood action thriller movie. Just enjoy it dude)

Bro what??Maybe u need to take a break from Shounen cause I've read over 200 manga and Sakamoto days easily has the best fight choreo and just the use of speed lines and things I've seen. Sure it doesn't have superpowers {except for 1 guy ) but that makes it even better

@@rand12389 There are good fights but the only fight up until chapter my hundred plus read is smoker vs Sakamoto The bunch kick to me is just repetitive that's why I like the sword guy I will say the choreography is Good but personally Dragon ball Naruto just have better hand to hand and Flow is it the best currently we'll interms of just art and choreography in fights Black clover has the best in between My hero and jjk no lie Jjk has Definitely better hand to hand than MHA

Weird u didn't find the Shishiba vs Yotsumura fight interesting cause pretty much every Sakamoto days fan has that fight in their top 3. Plus there was Sakamoto vs Gaku with the whole VR control thing was great too. BY far my fav is spoilers Nagumo vs Gaku. Idk I haven't read Black clover so I can't say much about that but I've read every other manga u mentioned but aside from some Naruto fights and some JJK fights nothing really hit me as hard as Sakamoto fights. Just like the vid said u can tell what tf is going on and where every character is cause the panels are so detailed and the use of the environment for the fights is like nothing I've seen before. I mean we had Gege himself recommending SD in his jump festa message and he told that he wish he could draw speed lines and just the line work to show movement like Suzuki does.
