I would be happy with either.The Tikka would make a great hunting rifle.

As an owner of 5 Tikka rifles from 22LR to .338 and all are super shooters most can’t justify the cost of the Sako over the Tikka for normal hunting.

My brother is picking up his new tikka T3X Lite in 270 in a few days. He's been hunting with a Remington 700 bolt in 306 for thirty plus years. Can't wait to go a bit lighter with less recoil, and yes, that 306 kicks like an angry mule.

I own some old school LSA55 Tikka (pre 1983 when Sako bought out Tikka). Awesome rifles. My current go to rifle is an old (but rebarreled) Sako L61R in 3006. Love that rifle. Where I live both Sako and Tikka have a legendary reputation. For economics Tikka dominate the market (New Zealand). Cheers 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

I think what people should look at for “most accurate rifle/cartridge” is the manufacturing process of the rifles in question, and the saami chamber specs. Look at the barrel, how was it made, cold hammer forged? How’s the head spacing, chamber tolerances, leades of the rifling and the twist rate. Many factors go into what’s an accurate cartridge and rifle. Yes the 300 is old and has a lot of overbore, may not be accurate but newer rifles can improve its accuracy with tighter tolerances

Tikka is the best rifle per dollar right now. And that is comparing to all brands.

Apples and pears. Need to compare CTR or Super Varmint to the S20.

A fair comparison would be Tikka T3X Varmint and S20 , just saying .
@LRock-6 ай бұрын
My favorite on the S20 is the side mounts on the stock for your sling so you can carry the rifle in a sporting fashion like it's an A.R.15.

I’d like to see a ctr vs Sako.
@WalterRitchey4 күн бұрын
By the time you put your Tikka in a decent stock/chassis you’re about at Sako prices already. It’s really kind of a pain. I wish Tikka would sell barreled actions on their own or partner with some stock manufacturers to ship them how people want them configured.
@lmbear8 ай бұрын
I don't blame you for not comparing it to the CTR. Ideally those 2 rifles are more similar. Also, whey mess up a good superlite like that?

The bedding system that you don’t like on the grs, is it the same system with the bifrost? I know the bifrost is more but the fenris! Looks Way more cleaner.

Bro, measure the damn groups! The "I can't say definitely which is more accurate" comment was old the first time you said it, and you say it repeatedly. YES YOU CAN. MEASURE THE GROUPS!
@Bullets4Bucks10 ай бұрын
No I can't really. I can measure but it's not a conclusive result. I mean sure I can test both for a few groups but unless I have every ammo available and test for weeks or months I can't. There are too many variables at play. They are both extremely accurate. Now if I have a rifle that shoots terrible its easier to say one is more accurate but not when they are close.
@thehardieway10 ай бұрын
@@Bullets4Buckssimple solution. It's called a caveat. So that would sound something like this.. "With the ammo we used today, which was the hornady sst, 162 grain, the sako's group measured at .48. The Tikka using the same ammo measured at. 56". Simple facts work great. "Insanely accurate" doesn't tell us the group size. I feel like this is pretty common sense isn't it? 🤔
