Thank you everyone for watching🤗What do you think of this beautiful city? Let me know in the comments if you have any kind of questions and don’t forget to subscribe for more travel content ;) Salerno is one of the most authentic Italian cities that is amazing and it has everything you want from a city. Salerno boasts a charming historic center with narrow cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and bustling piazzas. We can explore landmarks such as the Salerno Cathedral (Duomo), a stunning Romanesque cathedral housing the tomb of Saint Matthew, and the Arechi Castle, a hilltop fortress offering panoramic views of the city and the sea.
This Italian city situated at the begining of the Amalfi Coast has a diversity of restaurants with very delicious and affordable food, best pizza in Italy and best coffee shops. Salerno is known for its rugged cliffs, picturesque villages, and crystal-clear waters. We can explore the stunning coastline by boat, take scenic drives along the winding coastal road, or relax on beautiful beaches such as Spiaggia di Vietri sul Mare and Spiaggia di Santa Teresa.
Even though I didn’t eat in this vlog, I ate lots of times in Salerno because js a paradise for food lovers, with a rich culinary tradition that celebrates fresh seafood, locally grown produce, and traditional Mediterranean flavors. We can all can enjoy delicious dishes such as “scialatielli ai frutti di mare” (seafood pasta), “mozzarella di bufala” (buffalo mozzarella), and “sfogliatella” (a traditional pastry filled with ricotta cheese and candied fruit).
Salerno serves as a gateway to the Amalfi Coast, making it an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as the charming villages of Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello, as well as the archaeological ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Salerno is the cheapest location if you want to visit the Amalfi Coast and you can easily get on every city on the Amalfi Coast by boat or bus. Salerno doesn’t get the love that It needs in Italy but it is one of the Italian cities in Campania region with a panoramic promedade, it’s an Italian medieval town with a magnificent cathedral and rich history. Salerno has a charming gritty personality and it compliments the Amalfi Coast perfectly.
I’m in pove with Salerno because it offers a perfect blend of history, culture, natural beauty, and gastronomy, making it a captivating destination for all of us travel lovers exploring the enchanting Amalfi Coast and the surrounding region of Campania.
