I have owned five Porsche’s over fifteen years. My current being an 06 Carrera S. Over the course of those years I have learned the right questions to ask when purchasing a Porsche. I would buy one of your cars with no questions asked. That is a compliment. Your level of concern to sell a well looked into example is admirable. Keep the 997’s rolling mate!

All the work done on your cars to get them up to scratch is no doubt reflected in the asking price, but it must give a feeling of confidence to the new owners that they are able to drive their purchase for some time without having to worry about reliability issues.

Thanks David, we hope it gives that feeling!

No kidding, I just bought a 997 from a dealer online and I honestly paid top dollar because it was the one I wanted. When it arrived, the door handle was loose, the there was a deep scratch that was not mentioned, the knob to the mirrors was missing, their were locking lug nuts and not only was there no keys for the locking nut s but there wasn’t even a socket for the other wheel lugs that were all rusted on. I wish the dealer I bought it from was half as good as you guys.

Always a worry when you're sending a car a long way to its new owner, in this case to Ireland and Sheffield..... But I'm still waiting for my 911 to arrive from you in Australia! Come on where's that container? LoL, as usual well done.....

Seems crazy that the independent inspector was scrambling around on the floor when you have a lift in the workshop.
@friendsgreenporsche52343 жыл бұрын
Our lift is occupied by our technician preparing our sales cars.

Agree the way Porsche fail to protect the condensers& radiators is scandalous even on the 991 & 2 generation yet they have mesh fitted as standard on the GT cars. Fitting protective grills yourself on a Porsche warrantied car is said to be a reason for none renewal of warranty unless you remove them.

As a gen2 997 owner I have much respect for FGP. From my experience buying 911's showrooms get put off when you tell them you will buy on condition they agree to independent inspection. So if you're buying on finance you may find finance will be rejected (wonder why). Many garages know used 911's need a lot of prep before sale which is coslty on them and why they turn a blind eye. Service and a belt change is most you can expect. My 911 battery went within 4 months and wrong belt was fitted even though thegarage sells mostly £100k + high end cars. So looking at the work FGP are doing I am really impressed and respect how they operate. Good luck guys....

How come I see so many 996 C4S in the UK? In the Netherlands you don’t see them that often at all.

The 997 are so much better than the 996 in every aspect. Gotta love the return to form round lights.
@sambone82133 жыл бұрын
I think the 996 looks better and the early 3.4 cars definitely feel more raw, like a slightly civilized air-cooled 911.

... There’s something "missing" on that 997.2 ... as all 997.2 carreras 4, 4S & 4GTS have from factory that red strip between the tail lights!... Otherwise, nice vid as usual of yours. 👍
@friendsgreenporsche52343 жыл бұрын
Hi Paulo. They don’t have the red strip when they have a factory fitted aero cup kit like the car in the video. Many thanks

Am I correct in saying that the headers on the black car had been belted on something, looked a bit like 4 had flat spots?
@friendsgreenporsche52343 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew. You'd be incorrect. This is their design. Have a look at the following for confirmation: rennlist.com/forums/general-porsche-discussions-forum/887347-undercarriage-rust.html

Hey, i need some advice please. I am thinking to buy 997 S but im not sure if 997.1 would be enough or better save it for 997.2 s?

How long does the clutches last I saw wheeler dealers and he said 35k on a 997
@friendsgreenporsche52343 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Rule of thumb is 50,000 miles, but of course this can be more or less depending on the type of driving endured.
