Yes, it's Saliva as in spit 😂 Saliva was formed in the 90's in Memphis, Tennessee... feat. Josey Scott (vocals), Dave Novotny (bass), Chris D'abaldo & Wayne Swinny (guitars)... They recorded a self-titled debut on an indie label in 1997. This was Saliva's 2nd album 'Every six seconds' in 2001 w/ Paul Crosby (drums) joining the band... the record became a platinum hit w/ the singles 'Your disease'... 'Click click boom'... Saliva took advantage of the scene in which rock bands fused hip hop influences into their music. In 2002, Saliva singer Josey Scott sang on the 'Spider-Man' movie soundtrack w/ Chad Kroeger (Nickleback)... the song 'Hero' by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott became a huge hit single. That same year '02, Saliva had a gold record 'Back into your system' w/ the hit single 'Always'... and the single 'Rest in pieces' (co-written by Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue)... The next album 'Survival of the sickest' was released in 2004... In 2005, guitarist Chris D'abaldo left the band. Saliva returned in 2007 w/ the album 'Blood-stained love story' ... and scored a radio hit 'Ladies and gentlemen'... w/ guitarist Jonathan Montoya joining the band... Their next album 'Cinco Diablo' was released in late 2008... but sales were disappointing. In 2010, guitarist Jonathan Montoya left the band and Saliva became a 4-piece band w/ Wayne Swinny as the sole guitarist... Saliva released 'Under your skin' in 2011... Unfortunately, vocalist Josey Scott left Saliva that year and their future was uncertain. In 2012, Saliva announced the addition of Bobby Amaru (vocals) and their next album 'In it to win it' was released in 2013... followed by 'rise up' in 2014... In 2015, Brad Stewart (bass) replaced Dave Novotny in Saliva. Their next album 'Love, lies & therapy' was released in 2016. More line-up changes came as drummer Paul Crosby left the band... Saliva released the album '10 lives' in 2018... A reunion w/ singer Josey Scott was announced but never became a reality. Saliva recorded their latest album 'Revelation' during the pandemic w/ vocalist Bobby Amaru... Tragically, Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny passed away from a brain hemorrhage in 2003 @ age 59 before the record was released. In 2023, Saliva announced that they would continue w/ new members joining vocalist Bobby Amaru and bassist Brad Stewart to tour... Former singer Josey Scott has also announced plans to tour as Josey Scott's Saliva.

The Josey Scott era of Saliva was absolutely awesome. With their newer singer though, the band kind of takes on a whole new life and sound, and so it's a shame that a lot of people completely overlook the newer stuff. I'd check out both if I were you.

Just not a fan of their sound now. Like you said when a lead singer leaves it takes on a whole new life. I feel the same way about three days grace , they just aren't for me.
