to simplify this recipe make a 26% percent brine which is a fully saturated brine the point where salt doesn't want to dissolve in water. 26 % of salt to how much water by weight (grams ) or volume (ml) 26 % of salt to 500 grams or ml . equals 130g of salt per every 500 grams or ml of water.

Being exact like that might save me some money on salt! Never thought to actually figure out how much of everything I need, kinda just throw it all together and hope for the best, I'll try that way next time.
