This bike has been absolutely amazing! I honestly have 0 complaints about the 750, I’m not interested in all of the technology and gadgets on the new bikes, in fact if Suzuki does remake the 600/750 I hope they leave it just the way it is! 😁🙌🏻

Agree! I’ve had my 2015 GSXR1000 for a year now, and I keep saying if I ever get another bike I’d probably go back to the 750. That was such a well balanced sport bike. They are overdue for a bodywork update in my opinion, But mechanically speaking it’s perfect.

I’ve owned many bikes over the last 30 years and no other bike in the world fits me as good as the 2011+ 750. My physical size(5’9”), my riding style, comfort, width and angle of the bars, the way my legs grip the tank, the powerband, seat height, and on and on. I’ve put about $8k of mods into mine, including full Ohlins, because I love it that much! Plenty of power with my Akropovic, flashtune, K&N filter, and totally reliable!

I had 59k on my 05 gsxr 1000 before selling it a month ago. I replaced a water pump and a couple batteries. I was very good on the maintenance. Many upgrades and preventive maintenance along the way. It still had great compression at 190psi on each cylinder. I love this new gsxr but really miss that old reliable K5. I definitely regret selling it. Having said all that it's nice to see people put miles on these amazing made machines. I've been a loyal Suzuki customer because the bikes have been great to me. Hope these new techy versions of modern motorcycle have the same level of reliability. My gut says probably not. I love that gsxr you have. Hi , I've got a Suzuki gsx r 750 wn 1992 . I bought it at 60000 miles 4 years ago , I was put off it a bit with the mileage , but when I sat on it and had a test ride I loved it , it had a lot of paper work and service records so I new the bike had been loved. Any way I bought it . I have done a lot restoration work on the bike respraying the wheels had new emulsion tubes new needles and idle valves for the carburettors . It now runs spot on. It is nearly on 68000 miles. The colour is black silver with purple wheels and now looks mint condition , engine sounds sweet with a scorpion exhaust . From United Kingdom. Take care you both and ride safe ☺️👍

Older rider here just getting into bikes and currently on a N400. Torn between the ZX6R and GSX-R 750. Like the tech on the ZX but the ergos of the GSX-R seem much better for my knees and back. Just kinda wish Suzuki would give it ABS and a real gas gauge.
@SALTxTHExWOUND10 ай бұрын
The rawness of the GSXR is what most people LOVE about it. Rider aids made you rely on them to fix your own errors in riding, to me personally I love having no rider aid. And the gas gauge you get over, you can get about 130-150 miles per tank roughly, when the light comes on you've got safely 20 miles, I've been 28 miles on the blinking light.
@Ryan_H2210 ай бұрын
@@SALTxTHExWOUND I hear ya. The lack of electronics, digital dash, traction control, wheelie control, etc is what really appeals to me on the GSXR. No apps, settings, whatever. I love analogue tachs and Kawasaki killed it on the ZX6R with the new digital dash. The new trend in digital dashes on bikes just kinda kills the vibe for me. I do feel like the ABS saved my bacon once when a car goofed and I was forced to swerve and brake and hit a slick patch of something. ABS system activated for split second keeping the front tire rolling and I swerved successfully. Really do wonder what would have happened without the ABS system. Maybe it would have been the same outcome, maybe I would have high sided when the tire caught traction again. No way of knowing but it really sold me right there. And I like the insurance discount, LOL! Thanks for the information about the gas mileage. Does the bike happen to have like a trip odometer like a car so there's at least something to reference? So like you at least know you've done 100 miles and it's time to hunt up gas? Thanks man!

However, the TC on the Z900 I've come to realize is a big plus in many ways. I think it can save your butt in unexpected circumstances and the great thing about the version on the Z900 is that you can completely turn it off. 750 is the sweet spot on the streets. He just likes it because there perfect wheelie machines. I definitely understand the feeling. I've had several gsxr's. The only bikes I've ever owned. Ultra reliable. My current 18 gsxr 1000R is the most comfortable bike I've ever had. I need a hottie to ride along with

you said you didn't like the ergonomics of the gsx1000r, but when I look at the 750 vs 1000 gsxr's they basically look the same. is it more to do with weight difference?

Aaaa I see what you mean, what saved my daytona riding was flat clip-on. Instead of pointed at the ground the zero degree made that bike very much like what describe gsxer to be.

Honestly I’m not sure, I would love to hit 100k on this bike just to prove it can do it. I may end up buying a 2nd bike before long though 👍🏻

Yamaha blew it when they failed to make the R7 a mass production model. Imagine what could have been.

They are working on the Yamaha YZF-R7.

Have you had a valve clearance check done yet? I think the manual recommends every 14,500 mi. That seems early, I seriously doubt anything would be out of spec in that amount of time. Probably can go 50,000 miles before anything would need to be adjusted.

But without the abs what is your opinion should this bike wearing in standard for safety tnx
@SALTxTHExWOUND3 жыл бұрын
ABS isn't something you truly NEED on any bike imo, it's a rider aid that makes people rely on electronics vs skill

Got rid of my 2019 GSX-R750 for the 2018 honda cbr1000rr. The gsx-r750 if the perfect street bike the cbr1000rr is way to powerful and fast. I generally have to constantly short shift because there isn't enough street. But I love my cbr1000rr.

I'm currently riding Bandit 1250s and looking something that can take the corners better, I'm 6'3 - do you reckon that this bike is enough big for me? I could seriously use some more power, better handling and still ride in comfort and without fear of having my bike to be broken at all the times.. Basically a new daily ride..
