I have a 2011 GSX-R750 (first year of the new generation) and it makes a good highway and commuter bike and fun in the mountains of course. Lots more torque than a 600 for traffic, B mode for riding in the rain, good wind protection with zero Gravity Corsa screen. Very reliable and strong running and easy to maintain. Recalled 2011 front brake master cylinder and rear axle adjuster block replaced under recall/warranty. Blue and white. Replaced the white front fender with a blue one from the 600 resulting in the best color scheme ever. M4 slip on with baffle sounds great and rear foot peg delete, now significantly lighter than a stock 600. Stock exhaust is long, heavy, and too quiet.

Phenomenally underrated motorcycle. Super simple and very lightweight. Incredibly easy to ride consistently on track, very smooth throttle, and easy on tires compared to past literbikes I've owned. A good foundation for making it your own. Add steel braided lines, Brembo RCS master cylinder, a quick-shifter and a set of proper tires, and you have a sleeper motorcycle that will surprise the latest/greatest literbike riders on track. Get a year-old new leftover off the showroom for less than two-thirds MSRP, and you will be happy, even coming from a modern over-the-top literbike (well, I did just that and I have no regrets 😊).

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - Suzuki. Love the GSXR, can't wait to jump on a 750 later this year.

This is a great bike at that price. To all those saying get a used one, you will for sure have to spend money on regreasing headbearings, replacing bad bushings, checking valve clearances etc. You might even end up spending more than what this bike costs new if you wanted to respring/revalve suspension. It just depends on how far you are willing to go to ensure your motorcycle is in good condition. Sure you can ride a clapped out pre-crashed and neglected motorcycle for a lot less. I still do that on my 03 sv650. But if im going to be tracking a similar bike i would either spend a lot of time with TLC on a used one or just buy this one new. Also as soon as suzuki updates this with abs and throttle by wire people will remiss the good old days. If you want all that you can buy pretty much any other modern supersport.

Great evaluation of a great machine. I just bought a 750cc 2022, Suzuki GSXR has always been my dream bike.

If you are considering a 600 you have to test out one of these. Much more exciting with no downside. You can find these new for 10k all day.

Thank you Adam. I like how you do your videos. I have a 19 zx-6r, and after pc5, pipe, bmc air filter and dyno flash it all most makes the same power. So no I would not trade...thanks

Okay hear me out, I LOVE MC commute. But I think it would be so cool to do MC commute twice a week, one with a new bike and one with an older bike that people still ride! (RC51’s, older liter bikes, older 600’s, that kind of thing!) Something that will really draw in younger riders and people that still ride these awesome machines. I think it would be great and get killer views! 🤙🏼

that's a great idea. We have some things in the fire when it comes to MC Commute coming in the next episode or two.

Another great MC Commute commentary, Adam. "I know wheelies are illegal...but I like doing them." Thanks to you and everyone at Motorcyclist Magazine for the ride and review. For me, it would be nice if you let the bike do all the talking on the final lap at the track.

I bought this same color 2020 and it was $10.5k out the door. Caught em during a sale i guess. I love the bike despite no new tech, it’s still fun.

Could have gotten a newer 1000 for that price.

Well this is pretty much a modern 954rr... it’s just you and the bike- but with modern tech. Without the crazy electronics, it just lets you enjoy the bike.

Without any doubts, the 2007 GSXR, is the most beautiful. It looks the most dynamic. I have one with the 600 Engine in all Black, without any sticker on it. Black windshield, Black front and Back Lights, Black Footbegs and so on. Its always a eye-catcher and no one believes, that this bike is from 2007. Also the exhaust is so decent and small, it often looks so ridiculous with the Big Exhausts .

Looks great with the black on black option. The intake sound is the best and so typical Gixxer. If I'm not mistaken Suzuki will bring out a new Euro5 compatible, completely new version of this.. Fingers crossed it'll happen 😎

I was looking at the same two bikes the gsxr 750 and the 636 Kawasaki. Insurance on the 750 for me was half the price of the 636. I’m 30 and the prices were 90 for great full coverage on the gsxr and 180 for the Kawasaki. I bought the 19model which was still new and is the same bike as the 2020 for 9k! I love the gsxr seat very comfy compare to my buddies 19 cbr600rr. If you can get a 19 new for 9k I’d say I’d pick that over the 636
