I think you made the right decision not doing the extra work on the doors. It's supposed to be a work van, not an exhibition vehicle and offering it at this low prices gives potential customers the chance to decide for themselves. Very nice little project and you did really well once again.

Indeed Teebo DK,at the end of the day,it is what it is,call it a work van, or a work horse.It will end up with more dents and scratches,and most probably runned to the ground specially if it's purchased by a building company.

That'll sell for £3995 straight away, an ideal little plumber or electrician van, people who won't be fussed about the back doors, they function well enough and don't look that bad. Certainly wouldn't put me off.

It's the 1.5 diesel Renault K9K engine used by Renault and Nissan across their ranges including Juke and Qashqai. It's pretty bombproof and produced in Renault/Nissan Alliance unitshops all over the world.

All it needs is take it to the car wash and clean out the interior before you deliver. Don't worry about the back door, or the minor scratches, most users won't care so long as it runs good.

Great job, as someone who made a decent living with work vans, let them go with imperfections. A guy starting out might be able to scrape up 4 but not 5. I started out with a borrowed 4 door Buick, then a Dodge mini van, then a full size Dodge van and finished up with a Ford E-350 stretch cargo van. Autos are different on the market and they are all about curb appeal or status. By the way, speaking as someone who has seen more Prisons than Schools, that wasn't a secret compartment. Rob, I could see how excited you were but I call them the way I see them. Keep up the great work guys.

Cracking job Rob as usual. Only advice would be, when deleting all codes like that, save a report first. The deleted codes could be crucial to diagnosing a fault and sometimes they don't come back.

1.5 DCI engine is very reliable I've got a 2002 MK1 kangoo 163000 miles and counting . Dacia also use the same engine as well. On the old door cut out window hole and sell it on as Will get you your money back you paid for replacement 😉

Find out where the previous owner had the service work done, then you can contact them and ask them if they can provide you copies or a print out. Worth a try

Chris doing body work is therapy for the watcher - a craftsman at work and a veritable Michaelangelo of the dented body panel - that engine also sees widespread use across Dacia models too - care for it and it will love you back - I have experienced a few of them

I added a PDR pulling tower to the workshop - should have built one years ago - you & Chris would love one, Rob - it saves panels that would otherwise be binned, like where there's no access to the back of the panel. Did a Fiat 500 quarter that was otherwise big body-work/respray due to zero access to the back of it (it's the double wall bit) only today - see that original van back door, that's an easy fix tbh, be a doddle.

I understand your reasoning for stopping short of a full refurbish on this 7-year-old van. The mileage is not bad, for the age and the general state aligns well with the state of a work van, it is not a showman's van but something to use, ideally for honest money-making trade-activities!. Great price for the van. That was a fantastic bit of luck finding that door. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't sell. I don't think the odd bump and scrape will matter one bit, the mileage will clinch it, I think. Great video. 👍

For bodywork dents that are hard to reach I would suggest getting some air bags that you could put between the dent & the door frame. Inflate the airbag in different locations in the area you need to work on & Bob's your uncle dent mostly gone.😃😃

Jusst a suggestion to you two, why not get one of the mobile paint / minor damage repair guys to do the small patch ups that you seem so worried about? If you had done all the battle scars ( remember the van is seven years old!!) the first time you use a car park at a supermarket you will have another ding to repair! Most of the mobile boys do a lot of trade work so they are fast and pretty good, certaily good enough for a lot of the battle scars that you worry about so much. Keep up the great work and look after Criss!!.

There are loads of these vans about here in Alicante. The scrap yard near me (so not any help to you two) have hundreds of doors at one of their storage yards, and cheap too. They will even fit them if required. Brilliant vans, you'll sell that easy.

If the SLDoors are premium, you could cut the old panel out leaving a 1cm flange and spot weld a new panel in! Good repair on the back doors, I think you are well cheap with this one, where else do you find one with only 50k on it! Another great video! Phil
