There is a implicit contract between reactors and the audience. The reactors pretend to have never heard anything and we pretend to believe them. As long as the videos are informative and/or entertaining, I don’t think it really matters.

@@thundernels Exactly. I've been willing to suspend my disbelief for most of Salvo's videos, but he's honestly gone too far with this one. He has CLEARLY heard this song before, because, frankly, EVERYONE over 30 has. His video adds nothing to what we already know, so the unspoken contract is broken. Can't even pretend to be emotional. Poor effort.

I read an interview with Dolly Parton where she told the story of licensing the rights to this song for the movie The Bodyguard. They contacted her early on in the filming process because they knew they wanted to use the song, but Whitney didn't record it for months, and it wasn't released until the movie was out, and by then, Dolly had forgotten all about it. Dolly was driving home from a meeting and the song came on the radio, and she had to pull over to listen to it, because it brought her to tears.

You need to react to her singing live! David Foster, the producer of this song, said when he produced Celine Dion he would tell her how to do the song and she would execute it perfectly but when it came to Whitney he would tell her his ideas and she would say "Okay but how about we try it this way?" and most of the time her take was better. I do wonder if she would have won more Grammy's if the rules weren't different back then

I was driving the first time I heard Whitney sing this song...I literally had to pull off the road into a parking lot...tears streaming down my face, chills up and down my spine. It's very rare that happens to me....maybe a few songs in a thousand songs/maybe a handful of artists out of the hundreds of artists I hear can do that to me. Then I saw her sing this song in the movie, "The Bodyguard" and that allover goosebump feeling came to me again. Whitney's voice is pure, powerful, unique...simply incredible...basically indescribable....a national treasure! Next on the list: "One Moment In Time". Add Whitney to the long list of exceptionally talented gems born in New Jersey - Sarah Vaughan, Dionne Warwick (Whitney's cousin), Cissy Houston (Whitney's Mom), Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Frankie Valli, Phoebe Snow, and let's not forget FRANK SINATRA - the list goes on and on...maybe it's the air we breathe.here in the Garden State.😏

@@timothysassanella272Thank you very much. You never stop learning. Well, I prefer her performance IWALY LIVE 1999. She really shows what she's made of in the basement. God knows the whole register: brave, lovely and infinitely sad. And just before that she enchanted in Brunei: "It's hard, so hard....." It hurts..... ♥️💜

I do like the greatest love of all. So ironic. What a talent. Can never go wrong with her. The national anthem at Super Bowl is great too

There will always only be one Whitney. ❤ Her momma was a gospel singer and Auntie Dionne Warwick blazed the charts in the 60s. The 1st time I heard Whitney, I was commuting to another state, Saving All My Love For You played, and I was hooked. Tragic and sad, her story, but it's her voice and songs, we cling too. Miss you, girl. 😢 Edit: In the movie The Bodyguard, Whitney and Kevin Costner dance to this song, Miss Dolly's original, payed homage to her. Of course, no one knew how this song would blow up. 😳

I was lucky enough to be in college at the time and to have a roommate with connections who got tickets to see her live outside on the Boston common. It was an unbelievable concert and she put on a great performance. We had great seats. It was a show to remember for sure.

It's nice to see True Feeling come through with some of our favorite music, not many are transported for a brief moment in time from a heightened state.
